Syfy and producer Roger Corman have been developing the upcoming "Piranhaconda," starring Michael Madsen and Rachel Hunter, for over a year. And today we have the official trailer. Check it out below. The story revolves around a low-budget horror movie crew, inept kidnappers and a reptile expert who battle a monstrous anaconda/piranha hybrid in the Amazon jungle. Between The Cabin in the Woods and Piranha 3Dd, man-eating aquatic creatures have been getting a lot of love lately. The second trailer for Piranhaconda just got caught in our nets, and we have the beast hung up and on display.
Michael Madsen (Sin City) and Rachel Hunter (Swamp Volcano) star in this Syfy creature feature about a low-budget horror movie crew, inept kidnappers, and a reptile expert all on the smorgasbord for a ravenous anaconda/piranha hybrid slithering loose in Hawaii.

The seemingly endless wait for the Syfy summer schedule is finally over! There is good news and bad, and one thing that is both good and bad. Let’s start with that: the Eureka Season Finale. We love Eureka, so every episode is good news; the fact that it’s a series finale, not so much. Mark your calendars – and have plenty of Kleenex in stock – for July 16 at 9/8c. Right after Comic-Con, which is early this year. We’ll see if that means a panel or not.
The good news: Warehouse 13 and Alphas return on July 23. The hmmm news is that Lost Girl will move to Fridays at 10 on July 20. Hey That’S Haven’S Spot. So Where The Heck Is Haven? Admittedly we had a head’s up that Haven would be pushed to fall when we learned that the DVDs for Season 2 weren’t being released until September but Argh. »

The legendary Roger Corman continues to produce and churn out more and more low-budget hybrid creature flicks as his career appears to be going full circle. A new trailer for the American World Pictures' project 'Piranhaconda' which revolves around a piranha/anaconda killing machine has emerged whereby Corman serves as exec producer. The Jim Wynorski directed flick will air on SyFy on 16 June in the Us and the Hawaii set horror stars Michael Madsen ('Reservoir Dogs'), former model Rachel Hunter, ex-American beauty queen Shandi Finnessey (below), Diana Terranova and Terri Ivens. Wellington, May 13: A 16-year-old Fiji beauty queen, who was harshly criticised for being too white and not indigenous enough, has been stripped off her title for being underage.
School girl Torika Watters, a Kailoma or mixed European/Fiji heritage person, was selected by the Miss World franchise last month, with a judging panel that included New Zealand model Rachel Hunter, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Watters was originally told she was eligible despite being 16 by show promoter Andhy Blake, but after fury broke out in Fiji over her race he announced this weekend that she was out. »

Sharktopus. Dinoshark. Dinocroc. All pale in comparison to Syfy’s upcoming “2 Creatures for the Price of 1” extravaganza, Piranhaconda. Roger Corman’s latest killer hybrid is scheduled to air on the network in October. In somewhat inevitable news, it stars the awesome Michael Madsen along with Rachel Hunter and is directed by Jim Wynorski.
Who is responsible for unleashing the half-piranha/half-anaconda on the unsuspecting masses? That would be writer Mike MacLean, who also penned Sharktopus and Dinocroc vs. Supergator for Syfy.
MacLean talked to Shock about writing creature features, working with Roger Corman, the differences between cable and theatrical movies, why comedy is a vital component of Syfy features, and more.

Distributor American World Pictures has unveiled the trailer for Piranhaconda today. If there’s an aspect about it I find disappointing from watching the trailer, it’s that the Piranhaconda just looks to be a funky looking giant snake that slithers around chomping people and doesn’t appear to make much use of its aquatic or crushing abilities the same way Sharktopus capitalized on the notice of a predatory shark with octopus tentacles. Regardless, it looks like it could be goofy fun. »

Melbourne, April 27: Newly crowned Miss World Fiji 2012 Torika Watters has sparked outrage in the country - initially because she is only 16 and now because she does not look "native" enough.
Schoolgirl Watters - who is of mixed European/ Fijian heritage - has been criticised since beating a bevy of full-blooded indigenous women to win the beauty title on the weekend.
Further, the fact that the competition was overseen by New Zealand supermodel Rachel Hunter and other non-Fijian judges has added to the controversy, News.com.au reported.
The ugly race row has even included attacks on Watters' hair, with many claiming. »

The first sales art has come to light for the Jim Wynorski helmed low-budget SyFy production 'Piranhaconda'. With legendary filmmaker Roger Corman acting as exec producer and a script penned by 'Dinocroc vs. Supergator' and 'Sharktopus' scribe Mike MacClean we're sure to expect more cross-bred mutant predators feeding on unsuspecting beach peeps donning sexy bikinis and ending up in pieces. Michael Madsen ('Reservoir Dogs') stars along with the Milf-tastic former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Rachel Hunter (below) and hot ex-American beauty queen Shandi Finnessey. That was a pretty cheap joke, and for that I apologize. The marketing gurus working behind-the-scenes of director Jim Wynorski’s upcoming creature “Piranhaconda” know exactly who their audience is, and they’re not above catering directly to their low-brow tastes. It’s always nice when the people who made the movie are kind of in on the joke. After all, nobody in their right mind is taking something called “Piranhaconda” seriously, so why not have some fun with it? The film, which stars Michael Madsen, Rachel Hunter, Rib Hillis, and Teri Ivens, is set to debut on SyFy this June. The poster in all its, um, glory resides below. Australian supermodel Rachel Hunter jumped into action after witnessing a high-speed car crash in Los Angeles on Thursday by calling cops to the scene.
Rod Stewart's ex-wife was chatting to reporters and photographers in L.A. when a white Mazda slammed into a turning vehicle in the middle of the street.
Hunter is caught on camera by TMZ.com walking into the road to check on the drivers, before reaching for her phone to dial 911.
