2017 Remember Me Thursday Global Pet Adoption Awareness Campaign

This month, Helen Woodward Animal Center will once again unite with animal welfare proponents and organizations worldwide for the 5th Annual Remember Me Thursday.

Honored on the fourth Thursday of September, the campaign asks pet lovers and animal rescue groups to create an unstoppable, integrated voice advocating for homeless pets to live in forever homes, not die waiting for them. Grassroots candle-lighting ceremonies and a global avalanche of social media buzz will shine a light on the millions of animals still awaiting adoption and encourage communities to opt to adopt and reduce the millions of homeless pets euthanized each year. As in previous years, some very big names are stepping forward to lend their support to the cause, including Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress, Kristin Chenoweth, who has been named the 2017 Official Spokesperson for the campaign. Noah Wyle Stars in Official Trailer for Los Angeles-Set Drama 'Shot'

2 August 2017 8:24 AM, PDT | | See recent news »

"I can make those gun shots 'pop!'" Paladin has debuted the official trailer for an indie drama title Shot, set right in Los Angeles in the middle of Hollywood. The film tells the story of a sound designer who is struck by a random stray bullet on the streets of La. "One bullet, three lives changed forever." Noah Wyle stars as the man who gets shot, and Sharon Leal plays his wife who is with him at the time. The full cast includes Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Xander Berkeley, and Elaine Hendrix. Described as a "visceral roller coaster ride unflinchingly exploring the consequences of gun violence in America." I like the intensity and intimacy of this, with the Pov shots following him into the hospital. Might be worth a watch. Check this out below. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Jeremy Kagan's Shot, direct from YouTube: Shot begins »

It's been 20 years since the 10-year reunion at the heart of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, and it shows. Rewatching the movie now isn't just opening up a Pandora's box of '90s nostalgia; it's a burst of realizations that some weird sh*t happens in this movie . . . or at least, some weird sh*t happened in the '90s. To mark the anniversary of the movie - and let me say again, damn, it came out 20 years ago (which means Romy and Michele graduated 30 years ago), I rewatched it, and I have some thoughts. Please check out my brainwaves if at any time you also loved this movie. Related24 Movies That Are Turning 20 Years Old This Year Romy and Michele live in the greatest apartment in Venice Beach. Is this when Venice was affordable? Because Michele doesn't even have a job. They're watching Pretty Woman. This holds up. »
