NBC is bringing back the stars of Will & Grace earlier than planned.

The network is teaming with the Paley Center for Media on a new retrospective on the acclaimed comedy that is set to premiere Sept. 19, a little more than a week before the revival's official premiere.

The Paley Center Salutes the Best of Will & Grace will feature new interviews with stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally, creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, and longtime director James Burrows. Stars with brand names are more in demand than ever as dozens of competing outlets search for anything that will help a show stand out from the pack. The new business models that govern streaming services have also had the effect of raising upfront payments to top talent because traditional forms of generating a profit from a hit series — through international sales and off-network syndication — are no longer an option.

Legendary comedian and performer Jerry Lewis passed away earlier this morning at the age of 91 and the comedy world is paying tribute to the legend through social media. Lewis' career and humanitarian work spanned several decades, which has influenced countless comedians and actors over the years to take up comedy while also supporting worthy causes. Lewis is known just as much for his "Jerry's Kids" telethons where he raised over $2.6 billion dollars for muscular dystrophy research, as he was for his amazing entertainment career.

Comedy King Jerry Lewis, 91, Dies ‘Peacefully at Home of Natural Causes,’ Says Daughter

Comedy king Jerry Lewis, whose manic style amused generations of moviegoers on both sides of the Atlantic, yet whose popularity often confounded critics, has died, his agent confirmed to People. He was 91.

In a statement from Lewis’ daughter Danielle, the comedian’s manager confirmed that “he passed peacefully at home of natural causes with him loving family at his side.”

Las Vegas Review Journal columnist John Katsilometes confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday, writing that Lewis’ rep told him in a statement that he died at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday morning in his home in Las Vegas.

‘The Three Stooges’ Set for Indian TV Revival (Exclusive)

Larry, Moe and Curly are face-slapping and eye-poking their way to India.

U.S.-based C3 Entertainment’s iconic Vaudeville comedy franchise, “The Three Stooges,” is set to be adapted for Indian television. With a working title of “Three Stooges Bole Toh Hungama Ho Gaya,” the Hindi-language series is being developed by Mumbai-based Galani Entertainments.

A broadcaster has yet to be identified for the show, whose title translates into English as “When You Say ‘The Three Stooges’ You Mean a Laugh Riot.”

Galani Entertainments is linked to Vijay Galani Moviez/Film Folks, whose credits include Salman Khan vehicles “Veer” and “Suryavanshi” and “Ajnabee,” starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. New talent will be cast in the roles of Larry, Moe and Curly.

Tribeca’s stand-alone television festival will run from September 22-24 in New York City.

Tribeca Enterprises, the parent company of the Tribeca Film Festival, has announced that it is launching a standalone festival for TV in autumn.

Tribeca is expanding its existing April TV programme into the Tribeca TV Festival for episodic storytelling. 

The three-day festival will present curated shows and conversations representative of the cultural zeitgeist, featuring both cast and crew. 

Television programming has been a part of the Tribeca Film Festival since it screened the series finale of Friends in 2004 at the Tribeca Drive-In. 

In 2016, Tribeca launched an official section of the festival dedicated to TV programming, which has featured world premieres of new series and seasons of anticipated shows and special events, including the world premieres of Emmy-nominated programmes The Night Of and, this year, The Handmaid’s Tale.
