Riverdale Showrunner Teases Arrival of "Prominent Supernatural Character" - Is It Sabrina?

22 July 2017 7:30 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

There is no shortage of darkness in Riverdale (especially after watching the tense season two trailer), but could the show be about to take a turn into the supernatural? After months and months of hinting that the magic-loving Sabrina the Teenage Witch, who is very much a part of the Archie Comics universe, might make an appearance on the show, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa all but confirmed the news during Riverdale's Comic-Con panel on Saturday. "I love horror and dreams and jump scares and things like that, so we're always trying to put that in Riverdale. We have been talking about one very prominent supernatural character that exists within the Archie universe," he said, before getting cut off by executive producer Sarah Schechter, who warned him not to say anything else. Aguirre-Sacasa's latest quote echoes what he teased to Entertainment Weekly back in January, when he mentioned that an appearance »

The Watcher In The Woods Reimagined For A New Audience - San Diego Comic-Con 2017

21 July 2017 7:55 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

The Watcher in the Woods was originally a novel written by Florence Randall in 1976 that was later adapted into a movie that was produced by Disney Studios.  While the 1980 movie is a cult classic it is remembered by most as being an epic studio disaster with multiple delays, reshoots, and being pulled from theaters after the ending had a negative response from moviegoers.  Although the original movie is considered a disaster by economic and studio standards it has maintained a cult audience and the story continues to be a family favorite around Halloween.

Melissa Joan Hart, who is best know for her roles on Clarissa Explains It AllSabrina The Teenage Witch, and Melissa and Joey, is starting to make the transition from actor to director with The Watcher In The Wood being her biggest project yet.  Melissa, who is also executive producer along with her mother, has been in »

Dean Cain has made 3 more Christmas movies

Kirsten Howard Jun 7, 2017

Lois & Clarke actor Dean Cain has added another three new Christmas movies to his legacy, but only one of them has a dog in it (we think)...

In the last 16 years, Dean Cain - former Superman and current Superdad - has made 16 Christmas movies.

See related  Kevin Feige on Black Panther, female superhero movie Thor: Ragnarok - international trailer lands

Important to note, here, that he hasn't made one a year. No. During 2014, for example, he made 4 in a row (Merry Ex-Mas, A Belle For Christmas, The Three Dogateers and Small Town Santa).

If you're new to Den Of Geek (or just weren't aware) we've watched nearly all of them, including the many made-for-tv ones where his co-star is a talking dog (and, in a lot of cases, multiple talking dogs).

Well, since we last updated our article, Mr Cain has made three more Christmas films - Beverly Hills Christmas, »

Riverdale: 6 mysteries to be solved

Patrick Sproull May 4, 2017

Who killed Jason Blossom, and 5 other mysteries Riverdale has to solve as the season 1 finale approaches. Speculation and spoilers ahead...

Spoiler warning: this article includes comments from Riverdale’s cast and creator about episodes twelve and thirteen.

Thinking cynically, Riverdale was never going to fail. It’s the ultimate teen drama, that golden mix of arch self-reflexivity and soapy melodrama, with a moody, neon aesthetic that Tumblr has predictably lapped up in gif form. It boasts the hottest young cast this side of Gossip Girl, and for older viewers there’s a lure in having 90s stars like Skeet Ulrich, Mädchen Amick and Luke Perry fill out the parental roles. And this is all without mentioning that the show is executive-produced by godfather of The CW, Greg Berlanti.

It certainly helps, too, that Riverdale is one of the most fun teen dramas to come out of the last few years. »
