After the 2009 Biggie Smalls biopic, Notorious was released, chatter started making the rounds that a biopic on his once good friend turned bitter enemy, Tupac Shakur, should quickly follow. However, it wasn’t until 2011 an announcement was made that the film was in the pipeline.

After a number of years trying to get the project off the ground the film on the life and death of one of Hip Hop’s iconic legends is finally set for a release on June 30th this year. Playing Tupac is newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., reprising his role from Notorious as Biggie Smalls is Jamal Woolard both will be joined by Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) Jada Pinkett, Lauren Cohan (The Walking Dead, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) as Leila Steinberg, Hill Harper (Limitless) and Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Afeni Shakur and has Benny Boon taking the helm. »

All Eyez On Me Trailer Sheds Light On The Life And Enduring Legacy Of Tupac Shakur

6 April 2017 1:10 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Celebrated as a rapper, actor, poet and activist, Tupac Shakur was a hugely influential figure in the world of rap and hip-hop right up until the moment when he was killed in a drive-by shooting at 25 years young. But there’s another project concerning 2Pac on the way, and its name is All Eyez On Me. Truth be told, Lionsgate’s rap biopic has been languishing in development for years, but we finally have word of a release date: June 16th, and the gripping first trailer has arrived to prove it. In it, we see Demetrius Shipp Jr. take on the role of the visionary artist, flanked by Kat Graham, »

‘Homeland’ Recap: The ‘Man in the Basement’ Isn’t Carrie’s Only Problem

22 January 2017 7:00 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Spoiler alert: Do not read until you’ve watched episode two of Season 6 of “Homeland,” titled “The Man in the Basement.”

Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is about to have a very bad day — and it starts and ends heartbreakingly with the man living in her basement apartment, Quinn (Rupert Friend).

He’s not the only one who’ll cross paths with her over the course of this taut hour (written by Chip Johannessen, and directed by Keith Gordon). By episode’s end, her relationship with the other man in her life she once loved, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin), will also be forever changed.
