23 December 2014 9:46 AM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Without a doubt, 2014 was the year of Shonda Rhimes.

The ABC uber-producer took over the coveted Thursday night lineup and had viewers glued to their seats with “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and this year’s breakout hit, “How to Get Away with Murder,” all airing back-to-back.

ABC hasn’t stacked three shows by the same executive producer into one night since Aaron Spelling took over Saturday nights with “T.J. Hooker,” “The Love Boat,” and “Fantasy Island” back in 1982.

'Scandal's' Kerry Washington: Olivia Is Facing What Scares Her Most

26 November 2014 11:00 AM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

[Warning: This story contains spoilers from the midseason finale of Scandal, "Where the Sun Don't Shine."] Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has her hands full. In addition to having to make the (tough!) romantic decision between moving to Vermont and making jam with President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) or standing in the sun with hero Jake Ballard (Scott Foley), the Gladiator has spent the better part of season four hunting down the head of black-ops group B613, who also happens to be her father.  During the season four winter finale, Rowan (Joe Morton) again evaded his daughter —

Scott Foley: The Hunt for Olivia Will Start

22 November 2014 7:41 AM, PST | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Scott Foley recently caught up with The Hollywood Report to talk about Scandal‘s mid season finale. We saw Olivia go missing after confronting her father and him running off. This was all after Scott’s Jake admitted his love for her. Now fans have to wait until 2015 to find out what will happen to their relationship and to Olivia. Here are some of his comments on his character and show.

(on Olivia missing)Obviously confused, but there’s a huge sense of responsibility and probably a sense of failing. Jake is arguably the one person that he believes — and maybe everyone else believes —she would be safe with. I think it would be understandable if Jake felt some sense of responsibility for what happened….. I always go back to the initial seed of that is the Fitz and Jake relationship — their history together in the military and being friends and brothers in that respect. »

Watch: Lena Dunham, Chris Pratt Read Mean Tweets on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

21 November 2014 3:43 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

“If you don’t have anything nice to tweet, don’t tweet at all.”

That definitely wasn’t the motto last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” during the eighth edition of the host’s “Mean Tweets” segment, which asks celebrities to read out Twitter users’ insulting posts about them. Thursday night’s entertaining compilation featured a new batch of celebs, including Britney Spears, Lena Dunham, Chris Pratt and Scott Foley.

After reading the tweet from their phone, celebrities usually stared, looked despondent or laughed as the audience cracked up. Yet some notable reactions from John Stamos and Adam Sandler gave the crowd more to laugh about.

Some of the gems included were:

Ty Burrell looks like Jon Hamm, if Jon Hamm were a crack addict.”

“If an alien landed here and demanded a famous person to eat, I’d drive straight to Adam Sandler’s house with a net.”

Scandal: All the GIFs You Can Handle From This Week's Dancing Scene

21 November 2014 1:10 PM, PST | BuzzSugar | See recent BuzzSugar news »

This week's Winter finale of Scandal features a lot of twists, turns, and tense moments, but I think we can all agree on the best part: Olivia and Jake's dance party. After - spoiler alert - almost killing her father, Olivia (Kerry Washington) has reached the pinnacle of stress. Her love life has been in shambles for a while, but now her actual life is in danger. She's finally reunited with Jake (Scott Foley) for some alone time, but she's kind of mentally spinning out of control. We love Jake, but even he doesn't know how to handle Olivia's bizarre breakdown. Does she yell? Does she scream? No, she dances. And then he dances. It's a strange but amazing cap to the first half of the season (never mind the cliffhanger that occurs moments later). Let's relive this scene over and over until the show comes back on Jan. 29. »

[Warning: Spoilers ahead from the season-four midseason finale, "Where the Sun Don't Shine," of ABC's Scandal.] ABC's Scandal came thisclose to finally ridding itself of Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) and the insanity of B613 during Thursday's midseason finale. Olivia (Kerry Washington), Jake (Scott Foley) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) teamed up to take down the man responsible for putting hits out on all of the former black-ops groupies — including Quinn (Katie Lowes) and Jake. After Olivia held her father at gunpoint and shockingly pulled the trigger only to find out that the firearm wasn't loaded, Rowan vanishes

From the '90s to Now: See Scott Foley's Hot Heartthrob Evolution

21 November 2014 5:31 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Long before Scott Foley was busy making Scandal fans swoon as Jake Ballard, he won hearts back in the '90s in yet another TV love triangle. After appearances on shows like Step by Step and Dawson's Creek, Scott became a household name with his role as Noel Crane on Felicity. He met Jennifer Garner when she guest-starred on the hit show, and they married in 2000, taking the red carpet by storm before splitting a few years later. Over the past decade, Scott has remained a Hollywood heartthrob, a title that's been taken to the next level thanks to Scandal. Off screen, he tied the knot with his wife, actress Marika Dominczyk, in 2007, and they just welcomed their third child, Konrad, this week! For a fun dose of nostalgia, take a look back at Scott Foley then and now, including some sexy shirtless ads and some supersweet moments with his family. »

Who Should Kill Rowan? 'Scandal' Stars Cast Their Votes

19 November 2014 3:00 PM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

Every character on ABC's Scandal has a good reason to want to kill B613 baddie Rowan Pope (Joe Morton). But not everyone should be so deserving of that honor. Following last week's deadly near miss — when Rowan outsmarted Olivia (Kerry Washington), Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Jake (Scott Foley) in a bid to kill Command — the top Gladiator has demanded a "kill shot" on her father, setting up what promises to be an epic winter finale. The Hollywood Reporter hit the set of Shonda Rhimes' political thriller to quiz the cast on which Gladiator — or White House staffer! — should be the one to win the honor of taking

Scandal Sneak Peek: Is Olivia Pope Prepared to Kill Her Own Father? (Video)

[Brightcove "3899661185001"] President Fitz may want to check on that gun control legislation he's pushing through Scandal's fictional Congress. In a sneak peek of the simmering ABC show's winter finale - exclusively on People.com - Jake (Scott Foley) makes sure Olivia (Kerry Washington) is armed and ready to take on Papa Pope. Jake, who just outed Rowan as the big baddie behind the assassination of Fitz's son, looks like he's next on the former Command's hit list. And Olivia, his maybe-girlfriend (Does her making out with the president in a super secret bunker mean they're broken up?) could also be in danger. »
