Dwayne Johnson Battles Giant Monsters in ‘Rampage’ Trailer

Dwayne Johnson Battles Giant Monsters in ‘Rampage’ Trailer
It’s up to Dwayne Johnson to save the world, with a giant ape named George on the loose, in the first trailer for New Line’s action adventure “Rampage.”

Johnson portrays a primatologist who keeps people at a distance, but shares a bond with George, a silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment mutates the gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size — along with other similarly altered animals across North America, destroying everything in their path.

“You don’t know about the 30-foot wolf?” Johnson’s asked at one point.

The key plot point in the trailer comes when a caged George is put on a jet airline, despite Johnson’s advice: “Having George on that plane is a big mistake.”

We then see George busting out of a cage and the plane winding up on fire over Chicago. Later on, Johnson

Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie will be written by Undateable creator Adam Sztykiel

It was just days ago that David F. Sandberg announced Heroes Reborn star Zachary Levi would star as the titular superhero in Shazam!, and now we have more headway on the Black Adam film starring Dwayne Johnson.

According to Tracking Board, Adam Sztykiel, the creator of NBC’s comedy Undateable, has been tapped to write the screenplay for the anti-hero’s solo movie.

Black Adam will act as a companion to Shazam!, focusing on Shazam’s arch-nemesis Black Adam. The character is very much considered an anti-hero, utilizing the same powers as Shazam but believing in a tyrannical government. Adam used his powers to free himself and others from slavery, but later rules his country Kahndaq with a tight grip and fear of the populist.

The Rock's Black Adam Movie Gets Undateable Writer

New Line Cinema's long-awaited Black Adam movie is finally moving forward, with the studio bringing on writer Adam Sztykiel (Undateable) to pen the script. Dwayne Johnson is starring as Black Adam and producing with his Seven Bucks Productions company Hiram Garcia and Flynn Picture Company's Beau Flynn. There is no director attached at this time, but with a writer finally on board, this long-gestating project is finally happening.

Dwayne Johnson has been attached to play Black Adam since July 2014, when he was still slated to appear in New Line's Shazam! After plenty of rumors surfaced, it was confirmed earlier this year that Shazam and Black Adam are two movies, instead of Black Adam merely playing the villain in the Shazam! movie. There are still no story details at this time, and it remains to be seen if there are any elements in the earlier Shazam! scripts when Black Adam

Baywatch 2 in development

Despite the fact that Baywatch has been near-universally panned by critics and find it tough going at the box office during its opening weekend, it seems that Paramount Pictures is already looking towards a potential sequel for the big screen reboot of the hugely-popular 90s TV series.

“We have an amazing story already,” producer Beau Flynn tells Variety. “We’re bringing back [screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift] who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne Johnson would be in, I know Zac Efron and all the girls would be. We just have this really cool idea to put them in this whole new world. We would take it overseas.”

Variety also spoke to stars Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario, both of whom responded enthusiastically when asked if they’d like to return for a second outing.

While speaking with Variety, Beau Flynn revealed that the writing team Damian Shannon and Mark Swift are already working on the story for Baywatch 2. Baywatch 2 Is In The Works, Already Has A Story

The new film Baywatch opened this week, starring the hilarious duo of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Based on the series of the same name starring David Hasselhoff, the movie version has taken a very self-aware, tongue in cheek approach, not unlike the 21 Jump Street films. But is Baywatch a "one and done" film adaptation like Starsky and Hutch, or will it continue to follow the model set by the 21 Jump Street films? Do I even need to ask in Hollywood's current climate?

Variety is reporting that not only is a Baywatch sequel planned, but there is already a story in place. Producer Beau Flynn told Variety:

“We have an amazing story already. We’re bringing back Shannon and Swift who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne would be in, I know Zac and all the girls would be. We just have this really cool idea to

It Turns Out That Baywatch Is Terrible, So It’s Obviously Getting A Sequel

Reed Tucker at the New York Post said “it washes up on the beach like a dead whale.” Katie Walsh at the Tribune News Service accused it of being “directed incompetently” and our own Matt Donato labelled it “bloated to a point where no push-ups or dietary restrictions can help.” Currently sitting pretty at 19% on Rotten Tomatoes, it looks as though Seth Gordon’s Baywatch is a cinematic shit sandwich (though sadly, it’s likely to be an extremely profitable shit sandwich).

So, naturally, they’re already planning up a second helping for us. Variety reports that producer Beau Flynn is currently sizing up a sequel that would reunite the cast on more questionably funny beachside adventures.

“We have an amazing story already,” says Flynn. “We’re bringing back Shannon and Swift who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne would be in, I know Zac and all the girls would be.

Producer Beau Flynn is certainly hoping that’s all audiences want to see, as he revealed plans are already cooking for a sequel that will, naturally, expand the scope of the franchise.
