Despite the fact that Baywatch has been near-universally panned by critics and find it tough going at the box office during its opening weekend, it seems that Paramount Pictures is already looking towards a potential sequel for the big screen reboot of the hugely-popular 90s TV series.
“We have an amazing story already,” producer Beau Flynn tells Variety. “We’re bringing back [screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift] who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne Johnson would be in, I know Zac Efron and all the girls would be. We just have this really cool idea to put them in this whole new world. We would take it overseas.”

Dwayne Johnson seems to be immune to failure, even when critics generally agree that one of his movies is terrible. The movie in question? Baywatch. Despite the critical lashing, it looks like we may be seeing Baywatch 2 washing up in theaters, according to one of the producers, Beau Flynn.
While speaking with Variety, Beau Flynn revealed that the writing team Damian Shannon and Mark Swift are already working on the story for Baywatch 2. He also revealed that the principal cast members, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron will return, should Paramount decided to actually move ahead with the sequel. Here's what Beau Flynn had to say about it.
"We have an amazing story already. We're bringing back Shannon and Swift who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne would be in, I know Zac and all the girls would be. We just have this really cool »
The new film Baywatch opened this week, starring the hilarious duo of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Based on the series of the same name starring David Hasselhoff, the movie version has taken a very self-aware, tongue in cheek approach, not unlike the 21 Jump Street films. But is Baywatch a "one and done" film adaptation like Starsky and Hutch, or will it continue to follow the model set by the 21 Jump Street films? Do I even need to ask in Hollywood's current climate?

Baywatch: Producer Beau Flynn says that a potential sequel to Baywatch would bring back stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron: "We just have this really cool idea to put them in this whole new world. We would take it overseas.” Flynn says the intention is also to bring back writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, as well as "all the girls" in the cast. Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach both confirmed their interest in reprising their roles. Baywatch is now playing in theaters nationwide. [Variety] The Jetsons: Conrad Vernon, who codirected the rowdy Sausage Party (above left) to great success last summer, has boarded The Jetsons. Reed Tucker at the New York Post said “it washes up on the beach like a dead whale.” Katie Walsh at the Tribune News Service accused it of being “directed incompetently” and our own Matt Donato labelled it “bloated to a point where no push-ups or dietary restrictions can help.” Currently sitting pretty at 19% on Rotten Tomatoes, it looks as though Seth Gordon’s Baywatch is a cinematic shit sandwich (though sadly, it’s likely to be an extremely profitable shit sandwich).
So, naturally, they’re already planning up a second helping for us. Variety reports that producer Beau Flynn is currently sizing up a sequel that would reunite the cast on more questionably funny beachside adventures.
“We have an amazing story already,” says Flynn. “We’re bringing back Shannon and Swift who wrote on the first one, and I know Dwayne would be in, I know Zac and all the girls would be. »

“Baywatch” is swimming into multiplexes this Memorial Day weekend, but is dragging along with it a dismal 19% score on Rotten Tomatoes (here’s our review). But who needs critics, when you have Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and a whole lot of beautiful co-stars showing off lots of skin? Producer Beau Flynn is certainly hoping that’s all audiences want to see, as he revealed plans are already cooking for a sequel that will, naturally, expand the scope of the franchise.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson doesn't like to openly support or slam any one politician, but he does have some thoughts on how a world leader should act.
Johnson then shares the qualities he thinks are important in a Commander-in-chief. "Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. [If I didn't agree with someone] on something, I wouldn't shut them out. I would actually include them," he explains. "The first thing we'd do is we'd come and sit down and we'd talk about it."
Bringing the conversation back to Trump, he adds, "It's hard to categorize right now how I think he's doing »
