Bye Bye Bye to the Bsb-*Nsync Rivalry: Lance Bass Talks Hitting the Stage with the Backstreet Boys in Vegas

24 March 2017 8:40 AM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Everybody (yeah) likes the Backstreet Boys – including Lance Bass.

Bass waved the white flag on the most prominent ’90s rivalry last week when he took the stage with the popular boy band during their Las Vegas show at the Planet Hollywood hotel.

“Very ironic that I would be onstage with the Backstreet Boys,” admits the former *Nsync in a new interview with People Now. “If you told me that 15 years ago I would have been like, ‘What?!’ and the fans would have gone nuts.”

The 37-year-old was pulled onstage by the group to help perform their 2000 hit “Shape of My Heart. »

The Backstreet Boys have officially kicked off their long-awaited 'Larger Than Life' residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and one fangirl fulfilled her 16-year dream to come face-to-face with her idols again -- 96-year-old Bsb devotee Adeline Stevens!

The longtime fan rocked up to The Axis Theater with her 61-year-old daughter, Karen, and 32-year-old granddaughter, Kim, where she was thrilled to meet the group before their show.

“That was amazing! It was a fantastic,” Adeline told Et afterwards, still a little shell-shocked from the meet-and-greet. “I love those guys!”

During the Backstreet Boys' Las Vegas residency, the group brought up former *Nsync member Joey Fatone for a special rendition of "Shape of My Heart." Jimmy Kimmel's Burns Were One of the Best Parts of This Year's Oscars

26 February 2017 10:30 PM, PST | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Jimmy Kimmel seems like he was practically made in a factory to be the ideal Oscars host. For his first time hosting the big show, he did an excellent job. His opening monologue targeted Matt Damon (of course), Mel Gibson, and pretty much everyone sitting in the front row. Throughout the show, he made fun of almost all the nominees and eventually brought it back to Matt Damon. Here are his best one-liners of the night! "I really hope the other guys from *Nsync were watching that performance because if they were, I think there's a really good chance they're going to let you back in the band." - After Justin Timberlake's performance "There's only one Braveheart in this room, and he's not gonna unite us either. You look great, I think the Scientology is working." - To Mel Gibson "He handed that part to his friend and took a Chinese ponytail movie. »

The 89th Academy Awards Show Review: Jimmy Kimmel Slays on a Shocking, Joyous Oscar Night — Save Two Big Bombs

26 February 2017 9:16 PM, PST | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Moment of truth: The Oscars will always feel long. It’s a three-plus hour awards show built around handing out trophies and listening to speeches. It’s going to drag at times, and the 89th Academy Awards ran way over time. Knowing that this is expected — that the show tends to drag no matter what the host does — only makes Jimmy Kimmel and the producers’ decision to open the show as they did all the more ballsy.

From the moment Justin Timberlake broke into his extremely catchy nominated song, we, indeed, could not fight the feeling. And that feeling was utter exuberance.

And while it kept the feeling flush for a while, the uncontrollable building blocks of the Oscars eventually brought things back down to earth. The speeches weren’t all that surprising, save for a few, and the winners weren’t particularly shocking in the major categories — except »
