No need to ship: 'Supergirl' is putting Alex in a relationship with a woman

25 October 2016 11:34 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Some really cool stuff happened on Supergirl last night. Melissa Benoist was adorably perfect in the role, as usual, and guest star Lynda Carter made a big impact with her surprisingly (to me, anyway) small part. But Lgbtq+ representation took center stage. First off, how about that twirl? Incredible #WonderWoman homage in tonight's #Supergirl, which guest stars Lynda Carter pic.twitter.com/684puAgR2T — Jarett Wieselman (@JarettSays) October 25, 2016 In case anyone was wondering, Supergirl writer Derek Simon confirmed this was absolutely a '70s Wonder Woman reference. if #Supergirl's fire-extinguishing spin looks familiar, well, there's a reason for that... pic.twitter.com/5IThjxAn3m — Derek Simon (@DerekSimonID4) October 25, 2016 Carter also got to speak a fantastic line that referenced her "other jet" and for a few seconds I thought to myself, "What if she's actually Wonder Woman in this universe??" Not quite but there is more to her story. However, »

Supergirl Season 2 Flies to The CW

12 May 2016 4:12 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last month, CBS announced the renewals of 11 shows, including hits such as Survivor, Elementary, 2 Broke Girls and more, with shows such as The Big Bang Theory and NCIS already picked up for new seasons. One of the most glaring omissions in the network's slate of renewals was the freshman superhero series Supergirl, which has been faring quite well in the ratings in its Monday night 8 Pm time slot. As it turns out, there was a reason that the show wasn't announced for a Season 2 pickup, because the show is shifting to The CW Network this fall.

There had long been rumors that the show would eventually end up at The CW, which is co-owned by both CBS and Warner Bros., since The CW currently airs a trio of hit superhero shows, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, the later of which debuted in January. Variety reports that CBS chairman »
