Donald Trump: By Roasting Him, We May Have Validated Him

26 September 2016 8:06 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Tonight, America will be riveted by the first U.S. Presidential debate of 2016. In a campaign season that has contained all the absurd drama of reality TV, the 56-year-old television tradition will provide voters the clearest and most sober presentation of the candidates and their views. It has tremendous potential to shape the choices we make November 8.

Hilary Clinton is the more experienced orator, but our perception of Donald Trump as a candidate could be shaped by another television institution in which he was on stage while facing opponents who cast aspersions upon him: The Roast of Donald Trump.

First popularized by Dean Martin in the 1970s, the celebrity roast mocks iconic performers and was initially designed as TV’s way of saying: We love you enough to put you through this. Now an annual Comedy Central tradition, in 2011 its subject was a businessman and reality star who is now »

File Under: 'Things You Can't Unsee' - Corey Feldman's Today Show Performance of 'Go for It'

16 September 2016 12:20 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

[Youtube "OqIv2tc9BCI"] Corey Feldman is a man of many talents, but this was quite the performance. As one of the 1980s' most instrumental figures, Feldman could simply rest on laurels like Stand By Me and The Lost Boys, instead he took to the Today show stage to perform "Go For It," the album's presumably lead single, and well… the performance was quite a doozy. He first appeared in an all-black, hooded ensemble, and was Backed by his band Corey's Angels with whom he explained as symbolizing "good versus evil." "The whole theme of [Angelic 2 the Core] is good versus evil, heaven versus hell, that sort of thing, »

Watch Corey Feldman's Bizarre 'Today Show' Interview, Odder Performance

16 September 2016 11:08 AM, PDT | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

Corey Feldman dressed up like a grim-reaping matador while besieged by a band of women in angel costumes for the former child actor's bizarre, instantly viral Today Show appearance Friday.

Feldman visited the Today Show to promote his new album Angelic 2 the Core, a decade-in-the-making double-lp dedicated to his late friends Michael Jackson and Corey Haim. What followed was an off-the-wall five-minute segment where the actor discussed his potentially dubious charitable organization — the website for Corey's Angels no longer works and the organization's Twitter feed that previously advertised "sexy" appearances »

Coming Distractions: Say hello to the new trailer for The Bye Bye Man

16 September 2016 10:36 AM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

From what we can gather from this trailer, and the one that came out back in April, the Bye Bye Man is some sort of supernatural malevolent being who is activated when you say, or even think, his name. (Apologies for dooming you just now.) The apparition, played by Doug Jones, appears to enjoy skulking in shadows, photobombing family snapshots, and trying on people’s clothes while they sleep. If only that was all he was interested in: Unfortunately, he’s also the inspiration for all, or at least most, of the random awfulness in the world. So anytime somebody murders their family or steps in front of moving train, you can assume the Bye Bye Man was probably involved somehow.

Horror films rely almost exclusively on execution (pun mildly intended), and The Bye Bye Man actually looks pretty creepy. Directed by Stacy Title (Snoop Dogg’s Hood Of Horror »

Corey Feldman -- My Music's Legit and Snoop Dogg Approved (Video)

15 September 2016 12:26 PM, PDT | TMZ | See recent TMZ news »

[[tmz:video id="0_uhfr0je6"]] Corey Feldman is the busiest man in the music biz ... at least according to Corey Feldman. We got the '80s movie star outside The London Hotel in NYC where he told us he's working with a ton of big acts -- including Snoop Dogg on the new track, "Go 4 It!" -- and attempting to dominate every music genre. It's hard to follow how many bands Corey's in, and it's obvious he has Big plans. »

Steve Harvey Comes Face-to-Face With His Doppelganger on ‘Family Feud’ (Video)

12 September 2016 6:42 AM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Steve Harvey has a distinct look, though it just got a little less unique. The “Family Feud” (and seemingly every other TV series) host came face-to-face with a lookalike recently on his own game show, and social media is slurping the moment up early Monday morning. The doppelganger is a full-time pastor named Olden. He’s a little smaller than Harvey, but the proud preacher man’s got the smoothly shaved dome and thick mustache to match. Olden probably could have used an oversized pinstripe suit, however, completing the look. Also Read: Snoop Dogg Smoked on 'Celebrity Family Feud »
