Susan Boyle is just making this look way too easy. The "Britain's Got Talent" runner-up is having an epic run on the Billboard charts with her debut, I Dreamed a Dream, which will easily hold onto the top spot on the charts for a third week in a row, thanks to another 582,000 copies sold, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. In less than a month, MTV News' #8 Woman of the Year has racked up more than 1.8 million in sales for one of the fastest starts by a debut album in recent memory.

While Boyle is hogging the spotlight, Chris Brown has to settle for the weakest debut of his career, as Graffiti will enter the charts at #7 on sales of 102,000. The figure is well off projections for the first disc »

DJ of the Year: DJ Drama

When you say the mixtape game is back, DJ Drama has to be your poster boy. A few years ago, Drama and DJ Don Cannon actually went to jail for selling mixtapes. Now, the music industry seems to have a better understanding of how integral a mixtape can be to an artist's career.

In 2009, Dram unleashed a heavy volume of work, collaborating with other DJs such as Skee, Scream and Holiday, singer R. Kelly and a multitude of red-hot street rappers such as Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti. Even platinum-sellers like Wyclef Jean and Soulja Boy Tell'em had to holla for Dram's cherished Gangsta Grillz brand stamping their underground projects.

P. Diddy Helps Launching His Wax Replica at Madame Tussauds

15 December 2009 7:15 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Music mogul P. Diddy is the latest celebrity who gets wax treatment after some other music performers, like Snoop Dogg, Usher and Notorious B.I.G. just to name a few. The 40-year-old hip-hop singer attended the launching of his wax replica at Madame Tussauds Museum in New York on Tuesday, December 15.

Spotted sporting a sharp gray suit, Diddy met his wax statue which was dressed in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants. He was accompanied to the event by his mother, sister, nephew and son Justin. Speaking to MTV about his wax, he said he had to stand still for three hours in front of the sculpting team while they captured his likeness.

He, moreover, gushed "I went with the most recent likeness of myself. They wanted to do me live, how I was. It wasn't like I could give them an old shot. What you see is what you get. »

Spike Video Game Awards Trailer Roundup

15 December 2009 9:00 AM, PST | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

This past weekend, Spike gave its annual salute to the video game world with their Video Game Awards show. Featuring performers such as Stevie Wonder and Snoop Dogg, the show has grown in to a larger spectacle each year to award the best in the video game industry. Along with all that hype has come exclusive trailers for the biggest premieres in the video game industry.

Some we knew were coming like the prequel to the Halo trilogy with Halo: Reach’s first in game footage while others were merely rumored and mired in PR confusion like Green Day: Rock Band.

Even more exciting were the surprise announcements like that of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 which had predecessors that dominated the video game charts of the past year. Take a look below at all of the trailers and let us know which ones get you most excited. »

New York — According to spokespeople for Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Diddy has been on their request list for years. The people wanted to see Diddy immortalized like his friends Snoop Dogg, Usher and Notorious B.I.G. before him. And on Tuesday (December 15), Sean Combs was live in the flesh in Times Square meeting his wax likeness for first time.

The statue was spot on — dressed in a white tuxedo jackets and black pants — looking like it had just stepped out an ad for Ciroc or I Am King men's fragrance.

Diddy came into Maddam Tussauds wearing a grin and a sharp gray suit. (You didn't think he'd be outdressed by his likeness, did you?)

"I wanna thank my mother, she was the originator of the wax figure," he said with a grin. »

14 December 2009 9:50 AM, PST | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

The march towards the holidays continues, and though there are plenty of high-profile movies, television and concert events to promote, the talk show circuit is winding down, with this week being the last full week of guests before many of the shows go on hiatus for the last few weeks of the year. There are plenty of stars making the rounds this week, though there is no shortage of repeat guests. For example, after appearing on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last week, Snoop Dogg will be a guest on "The Colbert Report" on Monday (December 14), on "The View" on Tuesday (December 15) and on "Last Call with Carson Daly" on Friday (December 18). (Luckily, there's no such thing as too much Snoop.)

Elsewhere in the late night world, Kris Allen will perform on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Wednesday (December 16). Over on NBC, Jay Leno welcomes Nick Lachey on »

MTV News' #MusicMonday: Snoop Dogg, Yeasayer And Beck

14 December 2009 7:05 AM, PST | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

Really, you should be listening to music every day, but thanks to Twitter, Monday has become the best day of the week to discover new songs, show some love to the tune currently dominating your iPod playlist and quietly judge the listening habits of your closest friends. Yes, it's #MusicMonday, one of Twitter's most enduring trending topic. Hence "MTV News' #MusicMonday," a weekly look at the songs we're obsessing about here in the Newsroom. Here's what's on our playlists right now.

Kyle Anderson, MTV Newsroom Blog Editor: "Snoop Dogg has a great new single called 'I Wanna Rock.' Dr. Dre didn't produce, but he did mix it, and it totally rules. The best Snoop songs sound so laid back they're almost lazy, and this one takes it's time. It's got a really smooth, carefree groove, and if I owned a Cadillac, I would totally use this as my cruising soundtrack. »

Snoop Dogg returning to One Life to Live

12 December 2009 8:01 AM, PST | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

The Dogg is back. That's right, rapper Snoop Dogg is returning to One Life to Live on February 24... and you know what? I'm excited about it. Believe it or not, but when it comes to musicians dropping into a daytime soap, Snoop's was one of the best. You do know that singers often are written into a soap for a song and scene or two, don't you? Well, they do. Oftentimes, however, it's just awkward and unreal.

One Life to Live, on the other hand, does it really well. The last time Snoop was there, back in May, he did a couple of songs and interacted with the cast. The writers made it that Snoop had a past history with Bo, so they could get into it a bit in a funny way. When Snoop returns in February, he and Bo wil mix it up again. The Dogg will also »

Drake, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent: Who Had The Year's Best Mixtapes?

11 December 2009 2:57 PM, PST | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

I can't lie: This was definitely my most fun year covering mixtapes. In the MTV News hip-hop world, we went from exploring the underground scene once a week with "Mixtape Monday" to checking in five days a week with "Mixtape Daily." As always, your support is considered a huge blessing and is never taken for granted.

It wasn't that long ago when people were saying mixtapes were dead. Word? Nah. Mixtapes are forever no matter what. DJs, MCs and even singers jumped heavy into the mix this year. 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, R. Kelly, DJ Drama, Drake, Gucci Mane, Oj Da Juiceman, DJ Khaled — the list is endless. On Monday (December 14), we're going to be saluting the elite of the top dogs (and kittens — what up Nicki?). All week long, we'll be trumpeting the people who had the most impact on the underground circuit. »
