Dudes at Disneyland!
Taye Diggs gives 2-year-old son Walker Nathaniel a lift during a day at the theme park on Wednesday in Anaheim, Calif.
After a busy day, the Private Practice star, 4o, soothes his baby boy with music.
“I sing him an assortment of songs,” Diggs tells People.
“[Wife Idina Menzel and I] made one up just for him called ‘Sleep Walker Sleep’ and we sing random songs from musicals in a really slow go-to-bed tempo.”

HollywoodNews.com: This time, it’s time to document the worst of the worst in cinema for the 2011 movie year. Of course, while most critics make a point to try to seek out the allegedly best in cinema in any given year, not quite as much effort is made to track down every would-be stinker. As such, I’ve tried to highlight truly terrible films that either ‘damn well should have been good’ or represent something greater than itself via its artistic failure. Anyway, without further pretentious ado, here are the nine worst films in alphabetical order, followed by the absolute worst picture in 2011.
This film so slavishly followed that indie formula I’m always whining about (‘brooding young man solves his problems/comes of age with help of a selfless hottie’) to such a degree that with just a bit of tweaking, »

Idina's big voice coming at you live.
Atlantis Events has just announced that Idina Menzel will be their special guest headliner. The Tony Award-winning beauty will bring that huge voice fresh from Glee to the stage on the Allure of the Seas.
Her role on Glee opposite Lea Michele is of course just the latest success for Menzel, who counts being in the original productions of both Rent and Wicked as signature accomplishments, plus a recent world concert tour. It was in Rent that she met her husband, hunk Taye Diggs. There's no word on whether Menzel is bringing along Diggs for a duet (or just ornamentation at the pool). Here she tells the ladies of The Talk the sweet story of how they began their romance.
They obviously have a fun, loving relationship - kind of a you-scratch-my-back-i'll-scratch-yours, as is illustrated in this appearance they made together on Sesame Street. »
The Way of the Gun, 2000.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
Two men are tired of the path life has planned out for them, so they attempt to kidnap the surrogate mother of a very wealthy man.
“So, you the brains of this outfit, or is he?” asks Joe Sarno (James Caan) in a sweaty café close to the Mexican border during the film’s best scene. “To tell you the truth, I don’t think this is a brains kind of operation,” replies Longbaugh (Benecio del Toro).
Their exchange applies to the film as a whole. There are some cool lines and well-executed action scenes, but it all appears to have been thrown at the wall hoping some of it would stick, the wall being The Way of the Gun’s direction and narrative. »
The former daytime star — who was seen briefly on The CW spy thriller last week — tells ABC Soaps in Depth that his role is much more pivotal than it may have originally seemed.
“I’m playing a guardian [named Patrick Miller],” deVry revealed. “He’s the keeper of secrets and a very important pawn in the game of espionage… I’m doing all my own stunts, too: running, knife fights, gun shooting, and blowing ‘em up!” The actor is set to appear in at least six episodes of Nikita, which »

Scrubs alum Donald Faison returns to TV this Wednesday in TV Land’s The Exes (leading out of Hot in Cleveland at 10:30/9:30c). The sitcom, he tells TVLine, revolves around “three newly divorced guys (including Seinfeld‘s Wayne Knight and The Starter Wife‘s David Alan Basche) who move in together — with their divorce attorney, played by Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun), as their landlord!” Sounds fun, sure, but does it have anything to offer longtime fans of Sacred Heart’s beloved Chocolate Bear?
Here’s what Faison shared with us about the role he says »

I recently attended a QandA session with Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, The Adjustment Bureau) as part of the Chicago International Film Festival. The actor, who was receiving an honor for his artistic achievements, mentioned how he felt Hollywood was lacking a leading man of color under the age of 40 and that he was hoping to fill that void. I've recognized this void for some time, but it means much more when supported by a statement from someone like Mackie. But why has Hollywood failed so miserably to groom new stars to replace aging headliners like Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Samuel L. Jackson? It's clear to me the void doesn't exist for lack of talented contenders. But is Mackie our best bet to fill that void? He certainly has been on fire lately, landing roles in Real Steel, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Gangster Squad, just to name a few. »

Toronto - Stage and screen star Idina Menzel has originated the role of the green-skinned Elphaba in Wicked and Maureen in Rent. And the Broadway belter has a recurring guest star role as Rachel's biological mother on Fox’s Glee. But nothing compares to when Menzel and husband and Private Practice star Taye Diggs had a baby son, Walker Diggs. Two-year-old Walker Nathaniel isn’t the only one learning new words in Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel‘s household. The Private Practice star tells People that he has taken on an entirely different vocabulary since becoming a dad.
“The most ridiculous thing I have heard myself say is, ‘Do you want your pop-pop, your banky or your baba?’ Translation: ‘Do you want your pacifier, your blanket or your bottle?’”
The actor, who recently wrote his first children’s book Chocolate Me!, says “zerberting” — a.k.a. blowing raspberries — is another popular term at home, as is “nakedy time,” which is »

Today seems to be a good one for random sequel/remake news. In case you missed it "The Best Man," a 1999 comedy you forgot about starring Taye Diggs, is now getting a sequel more than a decade after the fact, but that's not all. Deadline reports that the 1989 dramedy "Steel Magnolias" is now getting a remake--with an all black cast. Just to refresh your memory, "Steel Magnolias" itself was based on the play, and it gathered up a pretty impressive cast at the time including Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Dolly Parton, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts to… »
Listen, we get it. It's far easier for studios to develop spinoffs, sequels and prequels based on pre-existing characters and franchises rather than (god forbid) throwing money behind original, new ideas. But even with that knowledge, Hollywood can still surprise us as Deadline reports that Universal is getting a sequel to the 1999 Taye Diggs comedy "The Best Man" underway. Yeah, we don't remember that movie either and we're not sure anybody is asking for new one, but whatever, right? Proving that half of the work in Tinseltown comes from handshakes at dinner, the idea apparently came out when director… »
Busy Philipps has revealed that she would love Taye Diggs to guest star on Cougar Town. Laurie, Philipps's character in the ABC comedy, is a big fan of the Private Practice star and the actress explained that she would enjoy working with him. "I would love Taye Diggs [to come on the show]," she told E! Online. "I would love it. I love that my character is obsessed with him." Philipps continued: "I keep trying to pitch it. Twelve years after critics found it to be totally decent (and refreshingly stereotype-free) and audiences made it a solid $34M box office hit, the 1999 Taye Diggs vehicle Best Man will be getting a sequel! So if you've been holding your breath to find out what happens after interpersonal secrets and scandals among friends come to a head on one dramarama-filled wedding day, you're in luck. Writer-director Malcolm D. Lee is set to script and helm Best Man 2 for Universal, and reportedly got the idea after a cast reunion dinner; take that as good indication that the likes of Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Nathan, and Nia Long might reprise their characters. [Deadline] »
Today in “I’m sorry, what?” sequel news, Deadline Greendale reports that Universal Pictures has decided to go ahead with a sequel to 1999′s The Best Man. As if that news was not already somewhat bizarre enough (or at least flat-out unexpected), the Deadliners seem to think this is in direct response to the studio’s desire for a Bridesmaids sequel, a quest that has apparently left the Universal executives so desperate for a wedding-based property that they’ve thrown dry rice at their entire library of nuptial-themed flicks and given a sequel greenlight to whichever one collected the most grains. Apparently. No matter what the process was for the studio to pick this particular film for another go-round, they’ve reportedly set the film’s original writer and director, Malcolm D. Lee (Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce, and Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins), to write, direct, and produce the sequel. Lee seems set on bringing back the film »

The Best Man starred Taye Diggs as Harper Stweart, who is asked by his best friend (Morris Chestnut) to be the best man at his wedding. Unfortunately, Harper's semi-autobiographical novel is about to come out, where he describes sleeping with his best friend's bride-to-be (Nia Long). Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, and Sanaa Lathan also starred in The Best Man, which marked Malcolm D. Lee's writing and directorial debut.
No production schedule was given for the sequel.
