Empire Season 3: Young Lucious and Cookie Cast!

21 July 2016 10:40 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Empire will be throwing it back when Season 3 kicks off this fall.

Yes, as previously reported, we will be getting more insight into the younger years of Lucious and Cookie.

Ajiona Alexus has boarded the Fox musical sensation as a teenage version of Cookie.

She will appear in flashbacks and there's word that that "Cookie spark" will shine through the character.

It will be super interesting to see just how well this actress captures the wit of Cookie.

We can't wait to hear some of Cookie's zingers in the flashbacks.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Carver has joined as Lucious.

He's a relative newcomer to the acting game, but we're sure he must play a great Lucious.

Things should be interesting on Empire Season 3.

We need to find out if either Rhonda, or Anika died after being from a rooftop after a huge fight.

The veteran actor (Private Practice, Murder in the First) has landed a recurring role on Empire Season 3, multiple insiders confirm.

Pencil it in, because he will be making his debut on the September 21 premiere.

Just who will Diggs portray on the wildly popular drama?

Multiple outlets are making comparisons between this character and Barack Obama (yes, that Barack Obama!) because Angelo has a resume that includes a Harvard law diploma.

However, overcome by sense of noblesse oblige, Dubois focuses his time and his energy instead on on community organizing and local politics.

Big Stars Love TV So Much, They’re Even Hosting Game Shows Now

Remember when big-name stars didn’t want to do TV? Now they’re even clamoring for jobs as game show hosts.

Alec Baldwin (ABC’s “Match Game”), Taye Diggs (Fox’s “Hypnotize Me”), Jane Lynch (NBC’s “Celebrity Game Night”) and Anthony Anderson (ABC’s “To Tell the Truth”) are just some of the actors who now front major primetime game shows, in addition to their regular scripted work.

“You look at game shows from the 1970s and 1980s, they were somewhat cheesy,” Anderson said. “It’s different now. It’s a lot classier. It’s cool.”

Wayne Brady, who has hosted a “Let’s Make a Deal” revival for CBS since 2009, joked that “being a game show host was very much akin to being a local affiliate weatherman – and no offense to local affiliate weathermen, but there’s a stereotype.”
