19 Photos of Taye Diggs and His Son, Walker, Being as Precious as Can Be

17 August 2017 11:39 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Taye Diggs and his son, Walker, are two peas in a pod, if the photos the actor frequently shares on Instagram are anything to go by. The 7-year-old, whom Taye shares with ex-wife Idina Menzel, is already learning to live a judgment-free life full of love, according to stories Taye shared when Popsugar recently sat down with him. "I grew up judgmental, and it didn't serve me well," he said. "So I'm doing whatever I can to kind of, in an organic as possible way, to lead him in the direction of accepting." Taye went on to reveal a special moment he shared with Walker in the car after driving his son to school that made him proud: "I let someone get ahead of me on the road, and I was patting myself on the back to Walker. And then the dude went in front of me and didn't give me that thank you, »

'Empire' Boss Lee Daniels on Doing Less Stunt Casting, Fan Criticism: 'When They're Unhappy, We Know'

8 August 2017 2:59 PM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Empire is doubling down on the Lyon family and focusing less on stunt casting for its guest stars in the upcoming fourth season.

The Fox family drama wrapped its third season with Lyon patriarch, Lucious (Terrence Howard), losing his memory after being caught in an explosion that his own family had set him up for. When he woke up in the hospital, Lucious found himself at the care of his nurse, played by guest star Demi Moore, and without his memory.

Though the new season will see the return of Moore, along with recurring players Taye Diggs and Phylicia Rashad, and Forest Whitaker’s entrance, co-creator and executive producer Lee Daniels revealed that they’re avoiding casting A-listers for the sake of luring them in for a cameo or one-episode stint. ‘Empire’ Season 4 to Reduce Guest Stars, Refocus on the Lyon Family

8 August 2017 12:59 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

“Empire’s” third season left off on a yet another tragic note for the Lyon family after Lucious (Terrence Howard) was caught in an explosion for which his own family set him up. Without his memory of who his family is, he is relying on his caretaker (guest star Demi Moore) to heal him back to health. While Moore will be an important part of the fourth season, though, executive producers Lee Daniels, Ilene Chaiken, and Sanaa Hamri say the new episodes will see a return to the core of the show, the Lyon family and dynasty.

“When we start to focus too much on guest stars we lose who it is that the fans want to watch,” Daniels says, noting he pays attention to what the audience of the show is saying about the show. “They’re obsessed with the Lyons. They’re obsessed with family. They’re obsessed with the story of Lucious and Cookie »

My Little Pony: The Movie gets an imaginative first trailer

Ponyville is under attack, and it’s up to the Mane 6 to save the day in the first trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie. Witness the color explosion down below…

While the movie probably won’t win over any non-fans of the show on which it’s based, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, it certainly looks like it will give fans more of what they’ve come to love about the long-running children’s program: vibrant visuals, optimistic messages and a strong focus on friendship. Additionally, it’s not worth nothing that My Little Pony: The Movie will stick to its 2D roots instead of opting for the now-standard 3D animation of most major animated studio films.

This latest offering isn’t the ponies’ first trip to the big screen, as Hasbro teamed up with De Laurentiis Entertainment Group in 1986 to put out a film of the same name, »

Coming Distractions: Celebrities invade Equestria in the first My Little Pony movie trailer

28 June 2017 7:39 PM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

After years of anticipation, speeches about friendship, and long-promised Sia cameos, the first trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie has finally arrived. What do fans (young, and otherwise) get for their patience? If the trailer’s any indication, some flashier animation, the same lessons about friendship and self-reliance, and a more famous-than-usual set of voice actors on hand to deliver them.

The trailer plays up the role of Emily Blunt’s new villain Tempest, but we also get appearances from Liev Schreiber as her henchman, Kristin Chenoweth as a mer-pony, Zoe Saldana as a bird pirate, and Taye Diggs as some kind of shirtless cat man, for reasons that we have to assume can’t be as openly prurient as they seem. Luckily, the Mane 6—played, as always, by actors Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St. Germain, Andrea Libman, and Tara Strong—are still on hand to save the day »
