'American Crime Story' Recreates Gianni Versace's Iconic Runway in Chilling New Teaser
American Crime Story appears to be honoring the legacy that Gianni Versace left on the fashion industry.

In the latest teaser for The Assassination of Gianni Versace, a number of models are seen walking the runway in a haunting manner as Gianni, portrayed by Édgar Ramírez, talks over the fashion show.

"My shows must be about life," he proclaims as a Kate Moss look-alike hits the catwalk. "Life is precious."

Gunshots are then heard as the models stop mid-walk and a newscaster is heard announcing that the 50-year-old designer has been murdered at the hands of Andrew Cunanan, played by Darren Criss.

"Who will stop this murder spree?" another reporter is heard asking as we see a model crying on the runway.

How Costumes Reveal Character in Oscar Contenders ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and ‘Mudbound’
You won’t find a sharper contrast in period costume design than the farm life of “Mudbound” vs. the high fashion of “Murder on the Orient Express.” The former, directed by Dee Rees, is a sprawling saga about two families, one black, one white, in the 1940s Mississippi Delta. And the latter, helmed by Kenneth Branagh (who also plays the wildly mustachioed Hercule Poirot), is a stylish, 1934 murder mystery aboard the eponymous luxury locomotive.

Tackling Parallel Settings for “Mudbound

There were two challenges for costume designer Michael T. Boyd (“Bessie,” “We Were Soldiers,” “Gettysburg”): Authenticating clothing for parallel settings on the Mississippi Delta and in aerial and tank battles during World War II. “It stretches your creativity,” said Boyd, who was working on a small budget for the indie feature distributed by Netflix.

“You’re trying to realistically recreate the atmosphere,” Boyd added. “That was my mission on this show.

Fashion Flashback: Salma Hayek Dissects Her Favorite Oscar Red Carpet Looks
When Salma Hayek came to the States, she faced a lot of rejection. “I was rejected over and over, and everybody told me, ‘You will never make it in this town. You’re Mexican, you have an accent,’” she says. Nevertheless, she persisted, and with 2002’s “Frida,” Hayek became the first and only Mexican woman to be nominated in the lead actress category — and the iconic painter remains her biggest artistic inspiration. “I learned that this woman woke up every morning with pain,” says Hayek, who shows an empathetic side in “Beatriz at Dinner.” “[Frida Kahlo] had so many things going against her, and yet she found a will to say, ‘I am my best work of art.’”

1997

Hayek’s first time presenting at the Oscars was a milestone. “Not everybody wanted to give a dress to the new Mexican girl, and I couldn’t afford one, so I was very lucky that Giorgio Armani offered,” says [link=nm

Agatha Christie has long been considered a master of the mystery novel, and her work is no stranger to the big screen. However, there’s never been a Christie adaptation quite like Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express.

It’s finally in theatres now, and we definitely recommend it for anyone who loves a good mystery, any of the talented actors involved, or outrageous facial hair. Branagh himself plays the genius detective Hercule Poirot, who boards a luxury train filled with fabulous people. One of these people is killed, and suddenly everyone becomes a suspect.

If, like us, you haven’t read Agatha Christie’s source novel, then you’re in for a wild ride. The film is filled with more twists and turns than you can imagine,
