With three weeks left until 2009 San Diego Comic Con is kicked off, the number of guests attending the international event is growing. Most of these guests are the lead actors, the creator(s) or the executive producer(s) who will give support to their respective show during the panels.
Fox was the one who came up with its list first, confirming the participation of Eliza Dushku and creator Josh Whedon in support of "Dollhouse". But newly announced are the guests for Sci-Fi series like "Warehouse 13", "Stargate Universe" and "Sanctuary". Expected to represent these three series are Eddie McClintock, Robert Carlyle and Amanda Tapping respectively.
"Caprica" in particular, will share the Ballroom 20 with TV movie "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan". Therefore, the actors and producers in support are the people behind the two productions: Edward James Olmos, Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Jane Espenson and Esai Morales.

David Boreanaz has said that the Bones writers are planning to film more episodes of the Us drama in the UK. The cast and crew spent three weeks in London and Oxford in June 2008, shooting a two-part special where Boreanaz's character Booth assisted Scotland Yard in solving the mystery of a body found floating on the River Thames. He told Radio 1: "We were talking to the Sky people yesterday and I suggested that maybe we come over. They said, 'Yeah, sure you guys come over', so I asked, 'Will you guys fund it?'. Another Fox show will be making its way to Blu-ray Disc this fall though this one took some "investigative" work to uncover. Per a new active pre-order listing at Amazon.com, the fourth season of Bones is Blu-ray bound and will retail for $69.99. Additional information is unavailable at this time but will be shared once available. A safe bet for disc tech specs are 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-hd Master Audio. Bones stars Emily Deschanel as a forensic anthropologist and Angel veteran David Boreanaz as an arrogant FBI agent, forced to work with one another to solve murders. It has already been renewed for a fifth season. Click here to pre-order Bones: Season Four on Blu-ray for $48.99 at Amazon.com.

How is it possible that a “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” movie could be made without the involvement of or blessing from Joss Whedon? And minus the original cast? The answer to this question lies in the details of the confusing rights entanglement that led to the first unsuccessful Buffy movie, which was released in 1992, years before the popular TV series launched on the WB network.
Fran Rubel Kuzui and her husband, Kaz Kuzui under the company name “Kuzui Enterprises” came into possession of the rights to “Buffy” when Joss Whedon originally developed the script back in 1992, an unknown writer at that point. Kuzui then took the script to Fox and developed the first feature film which starred Kristy Swanson, Luke Perry and Donald Sutherland. The film was panned on release, and it took years before the “Buffy” TV series incarnation that we know starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Allyson Hannigan,

"Buffy" is going to the big screen without the rest of the TV cast. A new incarnation of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is being developed for a film feature remake.
For those who are big Buffy-Angel fans, this news might be a little disappointing. None of the Joss Whedon-created TV series' characters are set to reprise their roles. Meaning, there would be no Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon and David Boreanaz in the upcoming film.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the planned movie will not have any connection to the TV series. Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment are working with the original movie director Fran Rubel Kuzui and husband Kaz Kuzui on a re-launch of the film.
They are meeting with writers to look for a possible script for the project.

Edward Cullen, portrayed by Robert Pattinson, is not the only presently popular vampire to speak of. William "Bill" Compton, portrayed by Stephen Moyer in the HBO hit series (coming up on release of season two) True Blood, also has a rather devoted fanbase. Other vampires in the True Blood book series (Dead Until Dark (The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris), such as Eric Northman, do as well. In the up-coming television series The Vampire Diaries, based on a book series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the popularity of leading vampire Angel starring David Boreanaz or Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire characters (as brought to life in the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles with Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, and Tom Cruise)

Joshua Jackson was up bright and early in NYC yesterday to attend the Fox Upfronts presentation. Fringe has already been renewed for another season but you can check out the full Fall schedule here and get a peek at some of the new shows. Other Fox stars like David Boreanaz and Gordon Ramsay joined in the party - even Kiefer Sutherland came by and made an awkward joke on stage about his arrest last week. Last night's 24 finale left us with quite the cliffhanger, but we already know that Jack Bauer will be back next year. View 10 Photos › To see more from the day just read more. In the next week, we’ll be finding out the fate of your favorite television shows, and learning which off the myriad pilot projects we’ll see on our tubes this fall. Officially. It’s a tradition called the Upfronts.
NBC jumped the gun with it’s “Infronts” earlier in May when it announced the cancellation of Life and the pick ups of 100 Questions, Community, Day One, Parenthood, Mercy, and Trauma.
Ben Silverman, co-chair of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, also confirmed the return of Heroes, Parks and Recreation, and Southland.
But there was no word about the fates of Chuck, Law & Order, Medium, or My Name is Earl. NBC reps said decisions on those shows would be announced on May 19, right in the middle of the rest of the Upfronts.
In the last few days, a number of leaks about what we’re to learn this week have been rolling through the Internet,

Fans of the Emily Deschanel / David Boreanaz series, Bones, won't have to worry about their show being cancelled for awhile. Fox has just given the series a two year renewal.
Bones is centered on an unlikely alliance between an FBI agent (Boreanaz) and a forensics anthropologist (Deschanel) and her team. The rest of the cast includes Michaela Conlin, T.J. Thyne, Eric Millegan, Tamara Taylor, Michaela Conlin, John Francis Daley, Patricia Belcher, and David Greenman.
Considering that Bones' ratings are strong, its seemed odd that the show hadn't been renewed until now. According to Variety, the holdup was over a common topic these days, license fees.
To no surprise, the Fox network and the show's studio, 20th Century Fox TV, are owned by the same company. While you might expect that that would make things easier, it actually made for longer negotiations. There are other profit participants involved so there

First off, at the beginning of the season, I gave Hart Hanson, the creator of Fox's "Bones" some homework, and he failed miserably. But honestly, there is no way to judge a current season based on things you want resolved from past seasons, so Mr. Hanson gets a pass. Besides, the show definitely delivered on some counts, so I can't complain. Especially since the show as I knew it is completely different than it was when I first wrote about it a year ago. It's not a bad thing; it's a sign of an evolving show. But let's be frank - "Bones" started out as a character-driven procedural that used subtle comedy and quirky characters to lighten the dark nature of the cases. Now? Emily Deschanel's Dr. Brennan is hardly ever in the lab, choosing field work with David Boreanaz's...

So which out man did take the top spot? If you’re the kind of person who always burns their mouth biting into that piping hot chocolate chip cookie, you can just cheat and go here to learn who came in first place.
Here at AfterElton.com, we’re thrilled to announce an out gay man topped this year’s list – especially this particular man as most of us voted for him as well. In fact, out gay men snagged nearly 20% of the spots, including the top three. To be sure, we’ve nothing against our straight male crushes, but it says something great about 2009 that there are so many out men to choose from.
