Glave to head household for Fox's 'Family'

Matthew Glave has been cast in the Fox comedy pilot Related by Family, from writer-producer Victor Fresco and Paramount Network Television. The project revolves around a blended family and two very different teenagers forced to live under the same roof when their parents remarry. Glave (Corky Romano) will play the father of the clan, joining Zachary Knighton, who was previously cast as one of the teens in the family (HR 11/24). Glave recently co-starred in Steven Bochco's Marriage project for HBO. His credits include NBC's ER and the features Rock Star and The Wedding Planner. Glave is repped by Innovative Artists. »

Bochco signs CAA as first reps

Steven Bochco has signed with CAA, marking the first time the prolific writer-producer has ever had talent agency representation. A 10-time Emmy winner, Bochco's numerous series include the landmark police dramas Hill Street Blues and NYPD Blue, as well as L.A. Law and lighter fare such as Doogie Howser, M.D. He also published his first novel this year, Death by Hollywood. CAA is representing Bochco in all areas, though he remains a literary client of Janklow and Nesbit Associates and continues to be repped by attorney Don Walerstein of Rohner & Walerstein. »

Pino takes 'Case' for Bruckheimer CBS and WBTV

CBS' Cold Case is hot for Danny Pino. The actor has joined the cast of the new crime drama series from Jerry Bruckheimer TV, Warner Bros. TV and CBS Prods. as a regular. The project, executive produced by Bruckheimer, Shaun Cassidy, Jonathan Littman and Meredith Stiehm, centers on a female detective on a Philadelphia homicide squad who works on cases that have never been solved. Pino will play a new homicide detective joining the team. In the fall, Pino was the first actor cast in Steven Bochco's futuristic cop show for Fox, NYPD 2069. He also co-starred in the Tom Fontana-Barry Levinson drama pilot for HBO Baseball Wives and had a recurring role on the FX cop drama The Shield. Pino, who starred on the WB Network comedy series Men, Women & Dogs, is repped by Endeavor and manager Geordie Frey of GEF Entertainment. »

Nicholson takes 'Marriage' vow

Julianne Nicholson has been tapped as the female lead opposite Jonathan Cake in "Marriage", Steven Bochco's drama series for HBO set to debut next year, while Oscar-nominated actress Jill Clayburgh is set to join the project in a recurring role. "Marriage" -- created, written and executive produced by Bochco and Alison Cross -- is described as an intimate look at the life of a husband and wife (Cake, Nicholson) five years into their marriage. The show, which has an eight-episode order, is set entirely in the couple's apartment. Clayburgh will play Nicholson's mother in the series produced by Steven Bochco Prods. and HBO. Nicholson co-starred in CBS' medical drama "Presidio Med" earlier this season. She also spent a year on Fox's dramedy "Ally McBeal". The actress, who recently wrapped Pariah's feature "Seeing Other People", is repped by CAA and manager Courtney Kivowitz. Clayburgh received lead actress Oscar nominations in 1979 and '80 for "An Unmarried Woman" and "Starting Over". She most recently co-starred on NBC's comedy series "Leap of Faith". She is repped by ICM and manager Mary Goldberg. »

Chandler cozy in NBC 'Den'; Polo, Sutcliffe at ABC

Kyle Chandler has joined the cast of NBC's drama pilot The Lyon's Den, while Teri Polo and David Sutcliffe have been tapped as the leads in ABC's untitled Chris Henchy/Marco Pennette comedy pilot. Meanwhile, Marisa Coughlan and Busy Philipps have been cast as the leads and Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl) has been tapped to direct the CBS drama pilot presentation Criminology 101, lifting the cast-contingency on the project. At the WB Network, Ian Gomez has been cast in the comedy pilot Exit 9, while newcomer Sophie Winkleman has got the lead in the network's drama pilot Chasing Alice. In other casting news, Anna Gunn (ABC's The Practice) has joined Steven Bochco's futuristic cop drama NYPD 2069 for Fox and Paramount Network Television, and David Cubitt has joined the cast of the NBC drama pilot EDNY. »
