It's been 15 years since Can't Hardly Wait hit the big screen, but several actors from the quotable '90s film are still in the spotlight. The story of average-guy Preston pursuing the beautiful prom queen featured a number of popular TV and film stars before they were well known. For instance, you may recall Jennifer Love Hewitt as the lead, but do you remember Peter Facinelli as the mean jock? What about the smaller roles played by Jason Segel, Selma Blair, and Jerry O'Connell? Take a trip down memory lane, and see what the Can't Hardly Wait cast is up to now! View Slideshow › »

Newsflash: Simon Cowell is supposedly interested in booking Jennifer Love Hewitt to replace Britney Spears on The X Factor next season. Yes, that Jennifer Love Hewitt.
On the surface, this idea seems, well, sorta nuts. Despite five recent-ish seasons of Ghost Whisperer, Hewitt hasn’t been particularly relevant since her Party of Five days, and her brief early-aughts singing career was unmemorable at best. (Though you’ve got to admit, “BareNaked” is still pretty catchy.)
Dig a little deeper, though, and suddenly the rumor starts making a weird kind of sense. Hewitt’s certainly as famous as, say, Paula Abdul »

Tonight, MTV will broadcast its 21st annual Movie Awards. Truth: Twenty years ago, the golden popcorn for Best Movie went to A Few Good Men (following that: Menace II Society, Pulp Fiction, and Se7en). Safe to say, the show’s tone has changed pretty dramatically from those edgy early days when Dennis Miller hosted and Denzel Washington won Best Male Performance for Malcolm X. (I personally trace the trajectory shift back to the short-lived decision to create a Best Sandwich in a Movie category in 1996.) Yet even as the show’s gotten more mainstream (read: Twilight- and Hunger Games-saturated »

The MTV Movie Awards (airing live this Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c on MTV) always provide some interesting antics for us to tune in for, and sometimes those can be lesbianish. With this year's Pitch Perfect reunion happening, we'll pulling for Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow to reenact their shower scene and really commit this time. Or maybe Ester Dean's lesbian character will introduce a girlfriend. You never know on this awards show! Here are some of our favorite lesbian moments past.
In 1993, Sharon Stone won Best Female Performance for her role as the bisexual vagina in Basic Instinct.
Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly were up for Best Kiss in Bound in 1997, but didn't take home the trophy. The next year Chasing Amy's Joey Lauren Adams and Carmen Llywelyn also lost, as did Matt Dillon, Denise Richards »

Throughout April, we're counting down to the release of Marvel's Iron Man 3 with our picks for the Greatest Comic Book Movies of All Time; here's #18...
Hellboy II: The Golden Army, 2008.
Directed by Guillermo del Toro.
Starring Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, John Alexander, James Dodd, Seth MacFarlane, Luke Goss, Anna Walton, Jeffrey Tambor, John Hurt and Brian Steele.
Director Guillermo del Toro reunites with Ron Perlman as Mike Mignola's demonic hero Hellboy returns to protect humanity from Prince Nuada (Luke Goss, who also appeared as the main bad guy in another del Toro-directed comic book sequel, Blade II), who is looking to harness the power of the Golden Army - an "unstoppable force" of magical creatures.
Despite Hellboy turning a respectable profit for Columbia Pictures in 2004, it wasn't until the release of the critically acclaimed Pan's Labyrinth that del Toro was to get the go ahead for Hellboy II: The Golden Army. »

A home invasion thriller with an awkward setup, In Their Skin stars Selma Blair and Josh Close as parents, Mary and Mark Hughes, facing tragedy with their young son at their secluded vacation home. Close, who I barely remember from The Exorcism of Emily Rose, is pretty solid as the distant and heartbroken father dealing with the death of his daughter by burying himself in work. Blair's always been a solid performer in stuff like Hellboy and The Sweetest Thing (don't judge me, that movie is hysterical), but here she's upped her game a bit, the perfect counter to Close in that she's a bit more emotional and high-strung.

Selma Blair showed off her natural beauty as she ran errands in Studio City, Calif., on April 1.
The "Hellboy" star went makeup-free while grabbing breakfast, hiding behind sunglasses before slipping them off to reveal her bare face.
The 40-year-old single mom -- can you believe she's 40!? -- has confessed in the past that she is a "poor applier" when it comes to cosmetics, opting to "avoid anything difficult."
"I'm at an age where any makeup that's meant to look 'slept in' really looks like I slept in it. That's for youngsters! Now less is more," Blair tells Mn Living. "I don't like to wear concealer or anything. I'd rather have uneven skin than feel like my face is cracking from too much foundation."

"Cruel Intentions" taught us just how cruel high school kids can be!This wicked adaptation of "Dangerous Liaisons" started out with a small budget, but it helped propel the careers of some of today's biggest stars!Reese Witherspoon played Annette Hargrove, the virginal new girl that costars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe tried to corrupt. Reese went on to marry Ryan and they had two children together. The two divorced after eight years, with Reese later wedding Jim Toth (and had his baby in September of last year!).Today, Reese Witherspoon turns 37 years old! She's become one of Hollywood's A-list actresses, starring in movies like "Legally Blonde" (with "Cruel Intentions" costar Selma Blair), "Sweet Home Alabama," and "Water for Elephants." She won an Oscar in 2005 for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in "Walk the Line." Click on the "Launch Gallery" above to see what the stars of "Cruel Intentions" look like now! »

Most of you won't remember this, but there was a time when getting into college was more about taking the first step to a bright future and less about self-inflicted, crippling debt and lifelong lament that someone actually allowed you to major in French Literary Deconstructionism.
Hilariously, as Tina Fey's new comedy "Admission" attests to, higher education is still the goal for millions of teens whose optimism has yet to be obliterated by reality. But for all of you high schoolers out there who don't have "fancy connections" at top notch universities or "serviceable grade point averages," don't despair — today we're hooking you up with films that offer some less conventional methods for beating out your better and brighter peers.

Chicago – I may never know how “In Their Skin” came into being, but I have a pretty good theory. Screenwriter/star Josh Close was so appalled by the unapologetic bleakness of Michael Haneke’s “Funny Games” that he took it upon himself to make the exact same movie, more or less, but with a much happier ending. It’s a noble effort but every bit as pointless as Rod Lurie’s proudly non-misogynistic remake of “Straw Dogs.”
Perhaps Close was so offended by the killers’ blasé approach to offing a rich family in Haneke’s film that he wanted to illustrate how white upper class folk are every bit as prone to suffering as the rest of us. “We’re not perfect!” shouts Close at his captor, a ruthless madman hell-bent on stealing his identity. Instead of finding their home invaded by two creepy male sociopaths, the innocent trio of »

Home invasion movies scare the hell out of me. Just the idea of someone invading your personal space and threatening you and/or your family scares me much more than monsters, aliens or any other type of creature that might inhabit a horror film. With that being said, like most horror fans, I’m drawn to what scares me. Anytime a home invasion movie comes my way, you can definitely color me interested and optimistic. I loved 2008′s The Strangers, both versions of Haneke’s Funny Games, 2006′s Ils and pretty much most of any other entries into the subgenre. Luckily, Jeremy Power Regimbal’s In Their Skin (formerly titled Replicas), lives up to most of the standards set by previous films of the sort.
In Their Skin follows Mark and Mary Hughes (Diary Of The Dead and The Master‘s Joshua Close and Hellboy‘s Selma Blair), who along »

Oscar Winners Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren* are spellbinding in this provocative story about the making of one of cinema’s most iconic films. Plagued by both a reckless ego and nagging self-doubt, Hollywood legend Alfred Hitchcock (Hopkins) becomes obsessed with a grisly murder story that the studios won’t back. Determined, he risks his reputation, his home and even the love of his wife Alma (Mirren), as he sets out to make the film. »

Glee debuts its 500th iTunes single performance on a movie-themed episode.

I've been a little less interested in the CW's dystopian romance pilot The Selection the second time around, but I'm starting to pay attention now that Anthony Stewart Head has joined the drama, as The Hollywood Reporter reports.
TV Guide's account about the drama behind the scenes at Up All Night has me almost wishing we got to see the transition from a single camera comedy into a multi-cam one. Apparently, some of the ideas for the transition included declaring that the multi-cam show was an alternate universe from the single cam version of the show — with baby Amy having the power to see into both universes (really!) and a show-within-a-show about three actors in a sitcom called Up All Night. If that's the kind of nuttiness that the revamp will bring, I'm starting my "Save Up All Night" campaign. »
