Growing up with my older brother, I was exposed to music that was, to my perception, a lot cooler than the swill my classmates were listening to. While others were fervently listening to Blink 182 or Christina Aguilera, as if it was they were programmed to, I was immersed into darkness with bands like Bauhaus, Joy Division and Sisters of Mercy. Showing up to school with a Kmfdm shirt (that I may or may not have taken from my brother) labeled me as a weirdo because my music taste was blatantly incongruous with my peers and their tragically lame, or […] »

We begin tonight’s recap of The Voice by congratulating death and taxes on finding a new friend to travel with them down Life’s Certainties Blvd.

In the following exclusive video, Will tries to suss out which member of Intelligence has captured Jay’s heart: Erin, Nadia — they’re both hot, he notes — or “that desk sergeant from downstairs.” (We like your sense of humor, Will.)
His question is quickly answered when Jay introduces him to his colleague/ex, who is surprised to meet someone from his family.

I involuntarily groan whenever I hear the opening line of Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All” — you know, that whole “I believe the children are our future” bit — because, well, of course children are our future. Nobody’s arguing otherwise! I’ve gotten more meaningful bits of philosophy from an inspirational cat poster!

The premiere of the Knockout Round on The Voice season 8 brings a huge upset, several stellar wins and a first-ever artist no-show that forces a coach to make an awkward adjustment. It's hard enough to compete against one other artist, but when one of Pharrell's flock is inexplicably unable to continue, the coach has to get creative. More on this in a moment.
In the Battles, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams were tasked with culling their teams from 12 down to six artists, but they were then able to steal two artists. At the end of the Battles, the ample stable of 48 competitors was cut down to 32.
A double helping of Fox’s Last Man on Earth this Sunday drew 4.5 million total viewers/1.9 rating and 4.1 mil/1.6, winning the night in the demo and besting/matching its week-ago numbers in the 9:30 time slot.

Ariana Grande's voice is no doubt impressive, but did you know she has the skills to sound just like Celine Dion? The singer proved it when she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday. After saying she felt "nervous" and "vulnerable" because she had "never talked on a talk show" before, Ariana brought it all back to the music. She joined Jimmy for a duet of "Beauty and the Beast," which Celine and Peabo Bryson recorded for the 1991 Disney classic of the same name. Ariana sang again when she and Jimmy slipped into costumes for their funny "Ew!" sketch. This isn't the first time a star has given their best impressions on the show - most recently, Christina Aguilera channeled Britney Spears, and it's impossible to forget Kevin Spacey's hilarious impressions. Watch the video above to get wowed by Ariana, and then check out the best celebrity impressions out there, »

Ariana Grande is a woman of many talents!
In addition to having her own very recognizable sound, she can do spot-on impressions of other singers. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she did a rendition of "Tale as Old as Time" from Beauty and the Beast in the style of Canadian superstar Celine Dion.
She totally kills it, complete with Celine's signature chest-thumping and French-Canadian accent. Even Jimmy Fallon is impressed!
Grande said that it was her first time actually talking on a talk show -- in the past, she'd only been a musical guest.
"How does it feel?" Fallon asked.
"I feel vulnerable," she replied.
But it sure doesn't show. Watch:
Fallon made the most of Grande's visit: The former Nickelodeon actress also did an "Ew!" singoff with him.
