Surprise! Eminem Throws Around More Anti-Gay Lyrics!

42 minutes ago | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

Eminemn trying to make nice with the gays in days gone by

Picture this: You’re insanely rich, and want to rap about it. You write a song about how you’re so rich, and your mansion is so big, you need an elevator to take you from floor to floor. The song’s still not quite there so you add a bit about how it takes you ten minutes to walk from the fridge to the nearest room. But something’s still missing. You need a line to take it to that next level … and then it comes to you:

Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain't gonna make it. They get so upset when I call them both faggots.

That’s right. In Eminem’s recently leaked song “Elevator” from his upcoming release, Relapse: Refill, the rapper goes from rapping about his immense wealth to attacking the gays. »

Here are some excerpts from our conversation: EW: Was Pop Idol the first TV show you were approached to be on? Simon Cowell: I was always getting offered TV work. »

Adding to the list of celebrities who pose naked for a magazine cover while pregnant, Padma Lakshmi claims that she doesn't mind showing off her baby weight because she has a better mind nowadays. In an interview with the magazine, the former wife of novelist Salman Rushdie shared her healthier attitude about life. 2010 Grammy Contenders: Best New Artist

27 November 2009 9:39 AM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

One of the most highly coveted Grammy Awards is for best new artist, but the award has a spotty history. For every year the voters got it right, such as when the Beatles won in 1965, there has been a year when a dubious choice, such as Starland Vocal Band or Milli Vanilli took home the prize. To be sure, time proved the Grammy voters prescient in selecting up-and-coming talents such as Tom Jones, Carly Simon, Bette Midler, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera and Norah Jones. But, just for fun, let’s look at some of the nominated artists who lost... »

"Gma" cancels Adam Lambert and reveals double-standards about men and women

25 November 2009 11:00 AM, PST | AfterEllen.com | See recent AfterEllen.com news »

Tabloids, teeny boppers and tweeters have been going bananas over Adam Lambert’s interesting performance on the American Music Awards this past Sunday. The controversy is swirling around the American Idol runner-up’s pelvic-thrusting, dancer-on-a-leash, fellatio-simulating, male keyboard-snogging shocker of a performance, that was much different than the usually wholesome realm of Idol.

Lambert, scheduled to perform on Good Morning America today, was quickly dropped after ABC received a barrage of livid objections, berating the producers at the prospect of having to watch the raunchy performer over their morning cup of Java. According to the New York Times, an ABC spokeswoman commented, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”

Upon learning of the predictable public backlash to his performance, Lambert, in an interview with Rolling Stone, bemoaned the double-standard about male vs. female performers:

23 November 2009 11:40 PM, PST | PopStar | See recent PopStar news »

Smart move by the Adam Lambert camp! Today the former American Idol (TV) runner-up debuts his new album For Your Entertainment and all anyone can talk about is Lambert's sexy and daring American Music Awards (TV) performance last night. The singer has placed himself on the chopping block this morning and we have the video; you decide if the singer went too far last night at the awards show. In true Glambert form, the performance was over the top, edgy, and displayed the rocker's range and personality. It was Lambert's coming out party to the music world and his racy performance split his fans right down the fence. Some are angered, calling the performance distasteful, while others are pleased with the high energy performance. Musicians love to be daring and take any chance to show off their creativity live on stage like Lambert did last night. Throughout the years of »

Miley Cyrus isn’t the only celebrity who can use a theme party (specifically '80s, for her 17th birthday) to dress like a hooker (in her case, Julia Roberts’ character from Pretty Woman —a film which, by the way, was released in 1990). If Adam Lambert proved anything during his sexually charged performance at Sunday night's American Music Awards, it's that he continues to give good headline. The "American Idol" runner-up closed the show with a polarizing set that drew cheers, jeers and a lot of dropped jaws as he unveiled the title track from his major-label debut, For Your Entertainment.

With a kind of mash-up of the top awards-show shock moments from Britney, Madonna and Christina Aguilera over the past 15 years, complete with faux-oral sex (which was edited out of the West Coast feed), S&M play, bondage, crotch-grabbing, same-sex make-outs, serial hip-thrusting and even an accidental stumble, Lambert made it clear that he's not the kind of safe »

'Cougar Town' recap: The 10 best zingers from last night's show!

19 November 2009 12:49 PM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Last night's episode of Cougar Town was further evidence that -- to steal a phrase from Christina Aguilera's most recent hit -- the Courteney Cox-led ensemble comedy "keeps gettin' better." The introduction of Rachael Harris as a shrewish rival to Cox's randy divorcee was a stoke of genius -- what better way to raise the emotional stakes and levels of absurdist bitchery than to introduce a truly nasty sparring partner for Jules, Laurie, and Ellie? Here's hoping Shanna's not just a one-episode pony. Also: Where in the whatty-what was Barb? Anyhow, without further ado, let's dish the 10 best »

I thought they were done casting Steve Antin's upcoming musical "Burlesque," but I guess I was wrong. The latest to join the party is Eric Dane, the Dr. Mark Sloan dude from "Grey's Anatomy."

Is that a bad thing? You tell me, because I never really watched that show. Anyway, Dane joins a cast including Christina Aguilera, Cher, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Alan Cumming and Stanley Tucci.

Aguilera plays a small-town girl who finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. The Hollywood Reporter says Dane plays a businessman planning to buy the club. He also falls for Aguilera. »

McSteamy Does Burlesque!

18 November 2009 8:15 AM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

I figured the cast of Burlesque was about as crowded as it could possibly get, boasting the likes of Cher, Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell in lead roles, with Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet and Alan Cumming rounding things out on the sidelines. But in a movie that's all about sex and glamour, I guess there's always room for McSteamy. Eric Dane, best known for the hunky doctor role on Grey's Anatomy, has joined the Burlesque cast according to Variety. He'll play a businessman trying to buy out the club, negotiating with Cher's owner character and also flirting with Aguilera's character, a small-town girl who shows up at the club with all the typical L.A. dreams. Filming on this pile of crazy and magic began last week, and the movie is slated for release about a year from now, just in time to take your family to see it »
