Brother of Rupert Gregson-Williams.

He was chosen to do the music for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001) (VG) when Hideo Kojima watched the movie The Replacement Killers (1998) and thought that his music would go great with the game.

Invited to join the AMPAS in 2006.

Was nominated for Film Composer of the Year in 2005 by the International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA).
