We Have Some Theories About The Flash Season Three

18 July 2016 1:30 PM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

A spoilerific look into the next season of the CW hit.

Last Tuesday, DC revealed that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will don an adapted version of the Kid Flash costume in the premiere episode of The Flash Season 3 entitled “Flashpoint”. The surprise posting, along with official confirmation of the title alluded to in the Season Two finale and “leaked” on Twitter last month, were only the first newsworthy developments from the show’s first week of filming.

As early as Tuesday afternoon, various sources began to tweet set photos depicting Londsdale with a mysterious new speedster apparently played by Australian actor Todd Lasance. Americans may remember Lasance from roles in The Vampire Diaries and Spartacus: War of the Damned, but he has a much more extensive acting history in his home country. Considering that the CW has not announced his casting, Lasance »

The Reverse-Flash Is Back In Clip From Tonight’s Episode Of The Flash

26 January 2016 3:32 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

While Zoom may be the big bad of The Flash‘s second season, the spotlight of this evening’s instalment will be firmly on Eobard Thawne. He’s the villain who took centre stage last year while disguised as Dr. Harrison Wells, and thanks to the mysteries of time travel, the Reverse-Flash is back in the land of the living despite being erased from history.

However, this is a version of that villain from an earlier point in time, and it’s been said that the episode is essentially going to be his origin story.

For further details, here’s the synopsis for this instalment of The Flash (which is titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns”).

When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays »

‘The Flash’ Boss Previews Reverse Flash’s Return and What it Means for the Team

26 January 2016 1:50 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Last week’s installment of “The Flash” ended with the arrival a very unexpected visitor — the Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), aka Eobard Thawne, the time-travelling villain who killed Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) mother, leaving Barry’s father to do time for the crime.

Although the Reverse Flash was erased from existence in last season’s finale, following a heroic sacrifice from his ancestor Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), “Flash” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg offered Variety a compelling explanation for his reappearance, which will be explored in the January 26 episode, aptly titled “The Reverse Flash Returns.”

“One of the more interesting aspects of time travel is that time doesn’t unfold linearly. This is the first time for our characters that they’re meeting somebody out of continuity — because this is the Eobard Thawne before he killed Harrison Wells; before he got stuck in the past; before all the terrible things »

This week’s episode of The Flash is going to be a big one, as it looks set to deal with the origin story of the Reverse-Flash, a character who was wiped from history the last time we saw him in the season one finale. If that sounds confusing, don’t worry, as time travel is something which the show has so far done an excellent job of making accessible to viewers.

For more details about what to expect from this episode of The Flash – rather appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” – here’s the official synopsis:

Extended Promo For The Flash Season 2, Episode 11: “The Reverse-Flash Returns”

20 January 2016 9:16 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Now that The Flash has returned from its winter hiatus, it looks as though fans can expect everything including the kitchen sink in upcoming episodes. Next week’s brand new episode, which is titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” (yes, his name is now suddenly hyphenated), had fans talking as soon as it was announced the character would be returning. Thankfully, The CW just released an extended look at what is sure to be a white knuckle ride of an episode, which can be viewed above.

One of the many things that will make this episode an interesting viewing is that The Reverse-Flash will be played by Matthew Letscher, whom fans will remember as the true face of Eobard Thawne. This iteration of the character actually happens to be from an alternate timeline and, as Earth 2 Harrison Wells says in the trailer, “This is his origin story.” I have complete faith »

The Reverse-Flash Is Back In Description For Episode 11 Of The Flash

8 January 2016 2:45 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

It was revealed last year that Matthew Letscher had been asked to return to The Flash as the villainous Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash, and while Zoom is the big bad of season two, this character is all anyone has been talking about ever since. It’s pretty easy to understand why when you think about it though. After all, the last time we saw Thawne, he was being erased from history.

So, how has he returned? The official synopsis below doesn’t shed too much light on that, but with Earth-2 factoring into this season of The Flash, could he be a doppelgänger? That remains to be seen, but here’s the description for the episode – appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns!” – courtesy of The CW:

He’S Back… — When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. »
