Co-founder and leader of The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble (later known as the New York Rock Ensemble), a classic music-influenced rock band in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Four released albums. The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble, Faithful Friends, Roll Over, Freedomburger

Performed as a solo act and released one self-named album following the break-up of The New York Rock Ensemble.

Works with various artists (Kate Bush, Queensrÿche).

Released "Concerto For Saxophone Featuring David Sanborn" on Warner Bros. Records (1990)

Co-wrote "Real World", with Queensrÿche, for the soundtrack to Last Action Hero (1993).

Collaborated with Pink Floyd on their album, "The Wall".

Conducted the orchestra for the "MTV 10" performance of "Dream On", by Aerosmith.

Orchestrated Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", on the 1991 album, "Metallica".

Composed and arranged the strings for Jeff Lynne's "Stormy Weather", from his 1990 solo album, "Armchair Theatre".

Unused score: The Avengers (1998).

Appeared as himself conducting an orchestra in the Queen video, "Who Wants to Live Forever".

Arranged the strings for Rush's "Nobody's Hero".

1995: Composed the music for the New Line Cinema company logo ("Box and Filmstrips II")
