A graduate of New York's AMDA, Judy Herrera made her professional network debut starring as a deaf youth in the television movie, Blue Rodeo (1996), for director Peter Werner. Her participation in the teen-pregnancy themed stage play, Bellyfruit, for director Kerri Green led to her feature film debut. Bellyfruit played at the L.A.T.C. Mainstage as a benefit for Gramercy Housing Group in Los Angeles.
