Tia Texada grew up on the bayous of Louisiana and the rich cultural cajun and creole and Spanish and french cultural influences. She grew up doing theater and singing and dancing. This led her to being discovered and starring on TV. She now divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.

Is a musician/recording artist. Her song "Driving You Crazy" was featured in an episode of Dawson's Creek (1998), and she has performed as a soloist in the California leg of the Lilith Fair tour in 1995. Tia is also a Latin dance soloist.
