Nephew of composer Howard Shore
Saxophonist with Matchbox Twenty.
Won the Elmer Bernstein Scoring Award for Cadaverous (2000), which was personally adjudicated and presented by Academy Award winning composer Elmer Bernstein.
Graduated from the Berklee College of Music, where he attended on a full four year scholarship.
Composed the scores for three films to win student Academy Awards: Rex Steele: Nazi Smasher (2004), Shadowplay (2002) and A Letter from the Western Front (1999).
Ain't It Cool News named Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) one of the "Top Ten Best Scores of the Year".
