James Van Der Beek and Lauren Graham join Disney Junior’s Vampirina

Disney Junior has announced that James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek), Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) and Isabella Crovetti (Colony) will lend their voices to a vampire family in the upcoming animated series Vampirina.

Van Der Beek and Graham will voice the roles of Vampirina’s parents Boris and Oxana Hauntley, while Crovetti is Vampirina (a.k.a. Vee), a lovable young vampire girl, who is facing the joys and trials of being the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.

The recurring guest voice cast includes Broadway performers Patti LuPone (Evita) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate) as Vee’s grandparents, Nanpire and Grandpop, and Wanda Sykes (Black-ish) as Vampirina’s cantankerous yet loyal gargoyle sidekick Gregoria.

Rounding out the voice cast are: Mitchell Whitfield (My Cousin Vinny) as playful ghost, Demi; Jordan Alexa Davis (Sofia The First) as Vee’s best friend and next-door neighbor,

The Deep: Season Two Renewal for Animated Netflix Series

Dhx Media, Technicolor, and A Stark Production have greenlit a second season of the animated children's TV series, The Deep. The production has received season two renewal commitments for a new season of 13 half-hour episodes from Netflix in the Us, as well as over-seas partners. The show is based on the graphic novel series created by Tom Taylor and illustrated by James Brouwer. Taylor serves as co-creator and lead writer. Brouwer serves as co-creator and art director.The Deep follows the adventures of a team of underwater explorers -- the Nekton family. The voice cast includes Vincent Tong, Ashleigh Ball, Michael Dobson, Kathleen Barr, James Higuchi, Saffron Henderson, Michael Kopsa, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ian James Corlett, Cole Howard, Lee Tockar, Samuel Vincent, Kazumi Evans, and Brian Drummond. In the years since Den Of Geek first sprung into existence, we’ve consistently kept an eye on the videogames that have been touted for the big screen treatment. We’ve tried to list them all in a big article a few times before, and it feels like the time has come to pull a new version together.

If we haven’t heard anything about a certain videogame movie in two years or more, it seems safe to assume that it’s quietly been binned. That’s why you won’t find the likes of BioShock, Devil May Cry, Far Cry, Gears Of War, Halo, Heavy Rain and Rollercoaster Tycoon on this list. If we get proven wrong on any of those, we’ll update this article as more information comes to light.
