Five years after long-lens topless photos of Princess Kate were published in French media, the individuals allegedly involved are finally facing repercussions.

The trial in French court is currently underway against paparazzi and editors at both Closer magazine and newspaper La Provence, with Kate and Prince William‘s lawyer asking for damages up to $1.9 million, in addition to a “very significant fine,” according to The Telegraph.

In a prepared statement read in court this week, William said, “the clandestine way in which these photographs were taken was particularly shocking to us as it breached our privacy.”

Adam Lambert is setting the record straight.

The 35-year-old singer appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, where he denied that he ever dated British crooner Sam Smith.

"I love that rumor, actually, the minute I heard it, I texted him and said, 'So?'" Lambert said in response to a caller's question. "He's like, such a nice guy, he's so funny [but] no, there's no romantic rumor."

Queen and Adam Lambert are teaming back up for another summer tour, launching June 23 at Phoenix’s Gila River Arena. The run will hit 24 cities in North America and extend through Aug. 5, hitting cities like Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., and Dallas.

After winning an Emmy for playing a laconic cyber security hacker on Mr. Robot, Rami Malek now has the challenge of portraying the flashy frontman for Queen, the late Freddie Mercury. Malek dished to Et about how deep he's diving into the role.

"I will sing a little bit," Malek told Et's Kevin Frazier at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. "Why not?"

While Malek might not share Mercury's legendary four-octave range, his Mr. Robot co-star, Christian Slater, assured us that Malek will do more than hold his own.

This won't be the first time Malek sings on camera. The 35-year-old actor once belted out "Put on a Happy Face" on the canceled Fox sitcom, The War at Home.
