Paul Walker dead at 40: ‘Fast and Furious’ actor dies in fiery car crash Paul Walker, best known for his role as the former cop Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious movie franchise, died today, November 30, 2013, in a fiery car crash in Valencia, a community in the city of Santa Clarita, located in the northern outskirts of Los Angeles County. Early reports indicated that two (unidentified) people had died after a red Porsche crashed into both a tree and a light pole, bursting into flames, in Rye Canyon Business Park. Broadway actress Marta Heflin dead at 68: Featured in several Robert Altman movies (photo: Marta Heflin in ‘A Perfect Couple’) Stage actress Marta Heflin, who was featured in a handful of movies in the ’70s and early ’80s, including three Robert Altman efforts, died on September 18, 2013, after "a long illness." Heflin (born on March 29, 1945, in Washington, D.C.) was 68. On Broadway, Marta Heflin was featured in the musicals Fiddler on the Roof, Hair, Soon, and Jesus Christ Superstar (replacing Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene). Cars' "Brent Mustangburger" Boards Disney's Planes

Teri Hatcher (the voice of the terrifying Other Mother in Coraline), Cedric the Entertainer (the voice of Maurice in the Madagascar movies) and football play-by-play announcer Brent Musburger are some of the voices boarding Planes, the Disney Animation spinoff to Cars. 

Here is the entire cast joining Dane Cook, who provides the voice of lead plane, Dusty, who is pursuing his dream of competing as a high-flying air racer despite his fear of heights. 

· Stacy Keach (The Bourne Legacy, the voice of Howard Duff in "The Simpsons") provides the voice of Skipper, a reclusive old Navy Corsair who takes Dusty's training to new heights.

· Brad Garrett (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and he's contributed his voice in lots of movies like the Night at the Museum movies where he's the Easter Island head and Bloat in Finding Nemo) lends his voice to fuel truck Chug, Dusty's buddy, coach and biggest fan. »

Dane Cook Gets Dusty in Disney's Planes

Update:  The lead character in Disney's Planes will be voiced by Dane Cook (Employee of the Month, Dan in Real Life). "Dusty" is a plane who dreams of competing as a high-flying racer but faces one little bitty obstacle: he's afraid of heights. Planes lands in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013.

Dec. 28, 2012 -  Planes has been upgraded to first class. The Cars spinoff will be released as a feature film next summer on Aug. 9. It was originally planned as a direct to DVD release. Jon Cryer, however, will no longer voice the main character, Dusty. It's unclear if the other voice talent are still attached.

Aug. 31, 2010 - Kpf Exclusive! While Pixar is working on a big-screen sequel to Cars (aka Cars 2), Disney Studios is readying the Cars direct-to-dvd spinoff titled Planes.
