Unsold pilot: He starred in a pilot for the 1956-57 season called "I Love a Mystery." The series was not connected to the famous radio series of the same name, but was instead envisioned as an anthology of mystery stories. Duff starred as a detective in the pilot (not Sam Spade, however).
