Christopher Jaymes was born on July 19, 1973 in Long Beach, California. He was an only child growing up in the household of his mother and most of his childhood was spent in Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach until moving into a loft in downtown Los Angeles at the age of seventeen with a group of musicians and skateboarders, including Jason Lee (My Name is Earl) and Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots).

His debut feature film, In Memory of My Father, attained 20 international awards and nominations including Best Picture at Santa Barbara International Film Festival & CineVegas and Best Director at 3 other festivals, where he acted as the writer, producer, director, editor while starring alongside a celebrity filled cast including Judy Greer and Jeremy Sisto.

Has appeared in a number of hit television shows and movies, including the ABC hit series LOST, as well as, Party of Five, Chicago Hope, The Profiler, and a number of others.

Has produced and directed a number of films, commercials, music videos, short form documentaries, and web campaigns for for-profit companies such as Intel, Lenovo, MySpace, Harper/Collins, FRS, Natura Pet, Wyclef Jean, and LiveBooks.com, while also focusing his efforts on a myriad of Non-Profit Organizations, including One Generation and Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.

His non-fiction book, Boxing Day was published in 2007 which surrounds his experiences as an aid worker in the 2004 tsunami which devastated South East Asia and gives an honest account of the reality of the disaster relief and the lives that were affected.

He graduated from Berklee College of Music studying piano and orchestration and toured and recorded with over 10 artists throughout the early 1990's and has taught music, film, and acting to under-privileged children throughout L.A. and Ventura county and has volunteered at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific as an exhibit diver.

His teens were filled with a range of activities including Rescue Scuba Diving and competitive snow skiing, though it was skateboarding that landed him a Footlocker commercial and got things started within the entertainment industry. During that same period, he debuted in a lead role in CBS M.O.W. Murder in New Hampshire starring Helen Hunt.

Between 1994 and 1996, he was a member of the conservatory of South Coast Repertory Theater in Costa Mesa where he performed several plays on both the Main and Second stages, including "Three Sisters" and "Measure for Measure" and began working more as an actor.

From 1997 through 1999, he starred in numerous plays including the role of Claire in Jean Genet's "The Maids" at L.A.T.C. and Don Baker, the blind guitarist and lead in "Butterflies Are Free" at the Matrix Theater in 1999.

Had one daughter named Gabi (Gabrielle) Lauzier, born on April 22, 1995.

Wrote his first feature, In Memory of My Father (2005), in five days and shot it in five days. He then spent two years befriending Scottish band, Belle & Sebastian to acquire their music. The film has gone on to receive extensive critical acclaim, won more than ten festival awards and Stuart Murdoch (singer of B&S) has become one of Chris' closest friends.

While growing up, he was an avid scuba diver. He worked in a dive shop as a rescue diver, and sometimes as a volunteer diver at the Long Beach Aquarium.

He was in Thailand during the tsunami and wrote a book entitled Boxing Day about his experiences.

He is an only child. His younger, best friend later married his mother.

Singer Lance Bass let Chris live in his guest house while writing and developing the script, Self Help. He stayed for six months.

Lived in a downtown loft with his younger brother and actor Jason Lee. Chris used to be a sponsored competitive skateboarder. Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots was a neighbor. They all played music together.

After a year and a half studying piano at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he was briefly hospitalized and returned to acting in Los Angeles. He also toured with Wanda Jackson (the female Elvis of her day) and recorded with many artists.
