I've been a huge of the original Night of the Demons for quite some time and I'm usually not one for female horror icons, but Angela does it for me in a special way if you know what I mean. Angela has been resurrected once again for the remake of Night of the Demons and will be played by Shannon Elizabeth and will co-star along side Edward Furlong. »

Actress Shannon Elizabeth has abandoned her trademark brunette locks for a new movie role.
The American Pie star debuts her new blonde look in It's Not You, in which she stars alongside Steve Guttenberg and comedian Jeffrey Ross.
And the sexy star is thrilled she got the chance to try a different style - revealing she has always been banned from touching her famous hair.
She tells WENN, "This is the first time I've been able to change my look. (Movie bosses) usually can't see past me as a brunette."
The actress hopes the new role - in which she romances both Guttenberg and Ross' characters - will show casting directors she's more versatile as an actress, even if it means drastically altering her appearance.
Elizabeth adds, "I'd definitely like to try different looks. It totally depends on the role, of course. But my favourite actor is Gary Oldman. He looks so different in all his movies, you can't always tell it's him." »

Someone with a steady hand sent Sean Patrick Flannery a picture of the best "Boondock Saints" jack-o-lantern you're likely to see this year, and he retweeted in kind. There really wasn't any other choice for the Twitter Pic of the Day.
In other tweets, David Slade continued his "Eclipse" posting with a shot of one of the film's stunt co-coordinators and Rachelle LeFevre admitted to crying during "Where the Wild Things Are." Check out those post below along an old clip of The Ultimate Warrior that Aziz Ansari dug up, how Eliza Dushku feels about Dungeons & Dragons, who wants her at his table to play and how Ice-t is faring at "Borderlands" on his Xbox 360. Actress Shannon Elizabeth has found love again after splitting with her dancer boyfriend Derek Hough - she's dating Police Academy star Steve Guttenberg.
Unfortunately, the new romance is just for the movies - and even that won't last.
In new romantic drama It's Not You, Guttenberg and Elizabeth play lovers who are not meant to be together.
The film, directed by Allie Dvorin, also features actress Milena Govich as the object of Guttenberg's character's affections.
It's Not You will shoot in and around New York in November and December.
Guttenberg and indie movie mogul Morris S.Levy are among the film's producers. »

Proof that some folks still want to promote their wares to the eight remaining people on Myspace, those behind the Night Of The Demons remake recently posted the picture below of Shannon Elizabeth as Angela on their site.. Look at the extremely low quality of the picture, take into account where it's been posted, and then ask yourself what quality you think the film will be. I would think the filmmakers would at least have wanted to post a photograph that was well lit. It's possible the film could overcome such poor promotion, but the fact that this picture stands as advertising does not bode well.
If you're interested, check out the Myspace site.

Welcome to Gore Girls! MTV contributor Terri Schwartz doesn't know crap about the horror genre, and she's volunteered to be our Movies Blog guinea pig. She has a good guide too. Fellow contributor Jenni Miller is a bonafide horror enthusiast, and she's willing to walk Terri through her formative experiences with blood, guts, monsters and maniacs. Together, this dynamic duo are horror's own odd couple, The Gore Girls!!! Good luck Terri... you're definitely going to need it.
This week, Gore Girls Jenni and Terri decided to tackle director Kevin Tenney's "Night of the Demons." This 1988 horror flick -- a fertile time for the genre, depending on your tastes -- plays like cautionary tale for those who would rather avoid entanglements with the underworld. On Halloween night, 10 teens decide it would be a good idea to stage a seance in an abandoned funeral parlor which happens to be built on cursed ground. »

Shannon Elizabeth has been laying pretty low with her acting career lately, but her tweets sure do fly fast and furious. She first captured the public's attention in the 1999 comedy "American Pie," in which she unforgettably played exchange student Nadia. Of course my favorite role of hers was in Kevin Smith's "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back," in which she played sexy diamond thief with a conscience, Justice.
Recently, Elizabeth attended a screening of "Zombieland," which hits theaters next week. Vampires are still the new hotness, but zombies will always be an integral part of the pop culture zeitgeist. So whenever a new zombie movie hits, you can expect to see fans strut out in their self-made zombie costumes. I can't tell if the one Elizabeth is kissing in her Daily TwitPic image is a fan or a studio rep, but it doesn't really matter, does it? You're just here »

Simon Pegg happily tweeted about the publicity he hopes to see "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" get in the U.S. now that an on-set burglary has resulted in a trial. If his co-star Megan Fox wasn't enough to get the film some attention, he predicts that his testimony will be.
One film that's been getting loads of Twitter attention this week has been "Zombieland," which everyone seems to have been invited to see. Shannon Elizabeth can be counted among those invitees and gets today's Twitter Pic of Day vote with the cutest zombie kiss you'll see this week. Mule concert, what Taylor Lautner has in common with a roller coaster and what Richard Kelly wants to see in Diablo Cody's "Sweet Valley High" movie. In addition to hefty gift bags, last night's Et/People partygoers got a little extra love from Mary J. Blige. The singer performed at the Emmy bash, held at the Vibiana, while Samantha Ronson worked the turntables. Dancing With the Stars' Derek Hough came sans ex-girlfriend Shannon Elizabeth, who he got cozy with Friday at the Family Guy pre-Emmy party. "We're still really great friends," he explained to me. "We go out, we hang out. She's my girl, man, and I still love her to death and we remain friends." But it doesn't sound like a reconciliation is in the works... "I think we're pretty happy with our relationship right now, and we're at... »

Maksim Chmerkovskiy isn't her No. 1 man anymore, but he said he danced his heart out for ex-fiancé Karina Smirnoff's sake at their Emmy Awards performance Sunday night. "Honestly the majority of what I did today was because I knew how big of a deal it was for her," he told People at the Entertainment Tonight/People after-party, adding that he’d agreed to perform with Smirnoff before they split and wanted to hold up his end of the bargain. "She wants this. She wants to see how she can excel. Dancing at the Emmys was such an amazing spotlight. »

American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth has reportedly reconciled with ex boyfriend Derek Hough after a steamy night at a gay club in Los Angeles.
The pair met when they were partnered together on U.S. TV talent series Dancing With The Stars in spring 2008.
However, they split after a year together, insisting they'd remain pals.
But the former lovers sparked rumours they have reignited their romance after they were seen getting intimate at a gay nightspot in L.A.
A source tells Radaronline.com, "They seemed to be having a great time, and they're definitely back on again…
"But at some point Derek must have had a really good look around the club, because he suddenly noticed that the majority of people there were men, and some of them hot young men half dressed. He then realised that they were in a gay club!
"It must have come as a total shock to him because as soon as he realised they hightailed it out of the club double quick." »
