Superman joins the Justice League on new promotional poster

16 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

We have a new Justice League poster to pick apart admire! This one features the ‘Man of Steel’ himself looming over the rest of the team:

Not much to see here, but one can’t help but take notice every single time Superman shows up in recent promotional material. Obviously, the guy is dead right? Well, not really…

Warner Bros. has made very sure to let us know that Superman survived (even before the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice credits rolled!). The first thing to notice is that Kal sports almost the exact same look that he had in Batman v Superman, and Man of Steel (aside from, perhaps, slight alterations). So is that it? All this build-up for the same old Superman?

We know in the comics that “The Death of Superman” results in the birth of mullet-clad Superman dressed in his black suit. Now, Superman may undergo drastic changes in personality/ philosophy, »

Why Justice League Has a Better Batman According to Ben Affleck

16 August 2017 12:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit theaters, it featured a Batman that most fans weren't accustomed to, played by Ben Affleck. For fans hoping to see a more conventional Caped Crusader in Justice League, you're in luck, because Ben Affleck revealed in a new interview that fans will not be disappointed when the movie hits theaters November 17. Here's what the actor had to say below during a new interview, comparing how Batman has changed from Batman v. Superman to Justice League.

"BvS departed a little bit from the traditional Batman. He started out with all this rage directed at Superman, because of his co-workers who had died in the fight Superman had with Zod. He was holding on to a lot of anger, in a little bit of an irrational way. Whereas this is a much more traditional Batman. He's heroic. He does things in his own way, »

Justice League To Feature A “More Traditional” Version Of The Caped Crusader, New Pic Debuts

16 August 2017 6:29 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The Caped Crusader has a new lease on life. And not a moment too soon.

Back when Ben Affleck’s Batman was first introduced to the world via Zack Snyder’s Dawn of Justice, the brooding vigilante funneled his hate and fiery anger toward Superman, who he believed to be a foreign invader capable of tearing the world asunder without so much as breaking a sweat. And as Jeremy IronsAlfred warns, “that’s how it starts. The fever, the rage…the feeling of powerlessness. It turns good men cruel.”

For Justice League, though, it appears Gotham’s Dark Knight will have already exorcized most, if not all of his anger issues, thereby opening up the field for a “more traditional [and] heroic” Batman. Per Entertainment Weekly, Affleck touched base on his character’s mindset going into Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon’s forthcoming tentpole, and why Bruce Wayne’s lax »

Ben Affleck promises a “more traditional Batman” in Justice League

16 August 2017 6:15 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Regardless of the rumors circulating around the star’s involvement in The Batman, Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight will be front and center in the upcoming Justice League film. Now, we know that Batman will be receiving a suit upgrade, and some sleek new vehicles in Justice League, but how else has his character changed? Justice League promises to be a lighter film than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so how will that new tone translate to Batman himself?

Speaking to EW, Ben Affleck revealed that Justice League will offer a more “traditional” Caped Crusader this time around:

“He’s put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something,” Affleck explains. “Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie. »

Justice League actor on the relationship between Cyborg and his father, says solo movie is still happening

14 August 2017 4:00 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

A few days ago we brought you some comments from Justice League actor Joe Morton, who plays Dr. Silas Stone, where he discussed how the character of Cyborg is being “adjusted” during the current reshoots on the DC blockbuster. And now Morton has been talking to Comic Book Movie about the relationship between Silas and his son, and whether Victor resents his father for transforming him into Cyborg (as seen briefly in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).

“Yeah, some of that still exists in the film where Victor sort of feels like, ’yes you saved my life, but look what you made me look like,” said Morton. “I can’t go out and be a regular person.’ He has no alias, nothing to hide behind. So what I think is great about that idea is you begin, in a metaphoric way, sort of talking about what it means to be “the other” in society. »

Justice League Posters Are Missing Superman Once Again

13 August 2017 1:17 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Two new posters have surfaced for Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated Dceu adventure Justice League, which is slated to hit theaters nationwide on November 17. As is the case with all of the Justice League materials that have been released thus far, Henry Cavill's Superman character is nowhere to be found on this poster, as the mystery regarding this character's involvement continues to swirl, while the studio and filmmakers refuse to reveal much about Superman's involvement. While we may not get our first look at Superman in Justice League until the movie premieres on November 17, rest assured, he will have a major role in the film.

Back in January, director Zack Snyder teased that Superman (Henry Cavill) had a "huge role" in the film, and that both his presence and lack of presence are "big story points" in the movie. At the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Superman »

Rumour: Early cut of Justice League deemed “unwatchable”, ending reportedly changed

12 August 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Over the past couple of months, Justice League has been undergoing some expensive reshoots under director Joss Whedon, who stepped in to take over the DC blockbuster after Zack Snyder’s daughter passed away.

As you’d expect with a film of this magnitude, there’s been plenty of rumour and speculation surrounding said reshoots, with reports claiming they will greatly alter the film, while members of the cast such as Ray Fisher and Ben Affleck have played down the speculation by calling them standard.

Chances are we’ll never fully know the reasoning behind the reshoots, but according to a report from Batman-on-Film, the answer is quite simple – “an early cut of the film was deemed ‘unwatchable'”, with the studio then demanding substantial changes to the film.

There is of course nothing to substantiate this report, but it should probably be noted that BoF did originally report that »

Ben Affleck says Justice League is “an interesting product of two directors”

11 August 2017 1:05 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

With Justice League still currently undergoing its much-discussed reshoots, Ben Affleck has taken a quick break from production to chat with Entertainment Weekly about the DC blockbuster, commenting on Joss Whedon taking over directing duties from Zack Snyder and describing the superhero blockbuster as “an interesting product of two directors”.

“It’s a little bit unorthodox,” said Affleck. “Zack had a family tragedy, and stepped off, which was horrible. For the movie, the best person we could’ve possibly found was Joss. We got really lucky that he stepped in. [It’s] an interesting product of two directors, both with kind of unique visions, both with really strong takes. I’ve never had that experience before making a movie. I have to say, I really love working with Zack, and I really love the stuff we’ve done with Joss.”

Affleck also brushed aside the incessant rumours suggesting that the reshoots are »

Updated Synopsis For Justice League Places Diana Front And Center

11 August 2017 5:59 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Despite its impressive showing at San Diego Comic-Con, the Justice League movie is currently in a state of flux.

Two-time Avengers director Joss Whedon has been drafted in to oversee some extensive reshoots and pick-ups centering on Wayne Manor, Diana Prince, and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel – much to the dismay of those VFX artists tasked with digitally removing the actor’s Mission: Impossible 6 mustache – and there have been rumblings that Whedon’s mission involves adjusting the tone of Justice League so that it’s more in line with, say, Patty Jenkins’ standalone Wonder Woman pic.

The jury’s still out on that one, but as you’ll no doubt recall, Suicide Squad underwent a similar overhaul back in 2016, when David Ayer and Warner Bros. brass incorporated additional action to essentially bring some levity to Task Force X’s big-screen debut. That now appears to be the case with Justice League, »

Justice League reshoots partly focused on making “adjustments” to Cyborg

11 August 2017 2:18 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

This summer, the Justice League movie began some costly reshoots. Aside from vague explanations, and Henry Cavill’s moustache of course, we don’t know too many specifics of the reshoots, although these have reportedly involved working on the “connective tissue” of the film, as well as potentially altering the tone of the movie. Ever since Batman v. Superman, Warner Bros. has frantically tried to lighten up the following films on the DC slate. One could see this in marketing for Suicide Squad, as well as recent footage of Justice League.

Joe Morton – who plays Cyborg’s father Dr. Silas Stone in the upcoming film – has told IGN that some of the reshoots involved making “adjustments” to Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. This is what the actor had to say when asked about his involvement in the reshoots:

Concept art of Batman’s Flying Fox from Justice League

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have some concept art from November’s Justice League movie, which shows Batman’s Flying Fox – a plane which serves as the mobile base for the team of DC superheroes as they battle Steppenwolf and his Parademons.

“I didn’t want to do a sleek airplane; it needed to feel like an extremely avant-garde classic,” says production designer Patrick Tatopoulos. “With the maneuverability of a jet—but it can actually carry things. The bottom part of the jet is a huge cargo bay, which the Batmobile sits in. The second floor is like a cultural center, with computer terminals. The third story is the cockpit. Whatever floor you are on, you can see [the other] two stories.”
