What Happens Without a Prenup? Divorce Lawyers Weigh In on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's 15-Month Marriage

26 May 2016 5:35 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

How much money could Amber Heard get in her divorce from Johnny Depp? Heard filed a divorce petition on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences and demanding spousal support. Depp asked a judge to refuse Heard's demand, according to documents obtained by People. The couple didn't have a prenup, according to TMZ. Legal experts say that since the marriage only lasted 15 months, Heard would have a hard time winning a hefty sum from Depp in court, but it may be worth it for the ultra-wealthy actor to pay up in order to avoid a lengthy, public divorce. 'Batman v Superman' Wins Weekend #2 at the Box Office with $52.3M

3 April 2016 2:44 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

When most movies open with huge box office numbers on their opening weekend, they typically drop a significant amount in their second weekend. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was no different in its second frame in theaters, dipping a massive 68.4% but still remaining atop the box office with $52.3 million, according to the estimates from Box Office Mojo. There were only two new releases opening in theaters, God's Not Dead 2 and Meet the Blacks, but neither came close to surpassing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Last weekend, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice surpassed its own expectations, taking in $166 million domestically and $424 million worldwide, the best global debut for any superhero movie in history. Still, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice didn't fare well with critics. The superhero movie continues to drop on Rotten Tomatoes, currently standing at a 28% Rotten rating, but the audience score is still overwhelmingly positive, »

Film Review: ‘God’s Not Dead 2’

1 April 2016 12:36 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

The Almighty is still alive, albeit also under continuing attack, in “God’s Not Dead 2,” a sequel in which the issue of religion in schools leads to a courtroom showdown over God’s rightful place in society. Boasting a superficially new plot but preaching the exact same sermon – in the identical leaden, graceless manner – as its predecessor, Harold Cronk’s follow-up concocts a laughable crisis of faith whose resolution is a fait accompli, turning the endeavor into a torturous exercise in one-note proselytizing. The franchise’s disciples will surely fill its collection plate as full as 2014’s $60-million-grossing original, but this paranoid persecution-complex fantasy is unlikely to win many converts.

Cronk’s original installment presented Kevin Sorbo’s atheistic liberal-arts professor as the embodiment of satanic evil. Since he literally died for his sins at the end of that story – only after making a deathbed conversion to Christ, however! – the »

Can 'Batman v Superman' Win Its Second Weekend at the Box Office?

29 March 2016 11:19 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last month, Deadpool set the pace for all superhero movies this year, setting box office records with a $132.4 million opening weekend, en route to becoming the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time. Last weekend, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice surpassed its own expectations, taking in $166 million domestically and $424 million worldwide, the best global debut for any superhero movie in history. With the superhero movie's second weekend approaching, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will have no trouble staying in the top spot, since the only two newcomers God's Not Dead 2 and Meet the Blacks don't stand a chance at unseating this superhero movie, according to the projections at Pro.BoxOffice.com.

It's always tricky trying to predict the second weekend of a blockbuster like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, especially since it didn't fare well with critics. The superhero movie continues to drop on Rotten Tomatoes, »
