He was an accomplished singer, and composed a number of popular songs and instrumentals which he also recorded. Joining ASCAP in 1954, he wrote the tunes "Six Bridges to Cross", "One Desire", and "The Moon Won't Let You Tell a Lie", among others.
Repertory company member (usually uncredited) in CBS radio show "The Hallmark Playhouse."

In addition to his supporting role on "Our Miss Brooks," he starred in three other network radio series, "Frontier Town" "The New Adventures of Michael Shayne" and "The Private Practice of Dr. Dana."
