Peter Hall was director.

When starring in Doctor in the House, he frequently sought the advice and guidance of the film's camera operator, H.A.R. Thomson regarding his performance on camera,rather than director Ralph Thomas. Bogarde said he learned more about acting for the screen/camera from this, than any other film he had worked on.
