Chicago Pd Season 4 Episode 15 Review: Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill-Will

22 February 2017 11:25 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Was there anyone who was happy in this week's Chicago Pd? Maybe Halstead since he got a new toy. But Chicago Pd Season 4 Episode 15 was a joyless affair for everyone else.

"Favor, Affection, Malice or Ill Will" had two major storylines. The first involved a father looking for vengeance on the man that he believed murdered his daughter, but it's not a spoiler to say that the guy he believed was responsible was not the actual killer.

The Intelligence Unit re-opened Rebecca Clark's murder case and unraveled the tangled web to close it. The highlight of this was Voight throwing a guy across a counter to get information. We should start a drinking game for every time Voight does something that is way off book but yet still vastly entertaining.

She'd only been in Chicago six months when she got killed.

Super Bowl Dog Redux: Explaining Spuds MacKenzie to Younger Audiences

6 February 2017 12:41 PM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

One of Budweiser’s entries into the Commercial Bowl this year involved a ghostly English bull terrier — voiced by Carl Weathers — lecturing a man on the importance of friendship, at least as it pertains to Bud Light.

For a certain generation, this was akin to seeing the return of the “Can you hear me now?” guy. For another, it was a weird ad about a ghost dog. Making sense of this requires a trip back to the late 1980s.

Spuds MacKenzie’s return to the Super Bowl in 2017 was appropriate, and likely not an accident of scheduling. 2017 marked the 30th »

20 January 2017 8:00 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Netflix has released a very short teaser trailer for a new comedy from Adam Sandler called Sandy Wexler, made by the director of Little Nicky. Adam Sandler plays a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, representing a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. He ends up falling in love with a new client, a singer, who he discovers an amusement park. Jennifer Hudson plays the singer, and the cast includes Kevin James, Terry Crews, Lamorne Morris, Nick Swardson, Rob Schneider, Jane Seymour, Carl Weathers & Arsenio Hall. This is a very short teaser, and it's probably more than enough, because Sandler's Netflix comedies are really terribel and should be avoided. This seems the same. Here's the first teaser trailer for Steven Brill's Sandy Wexler, direct from Netflix's YouTube: The film follows Sandy Wexler (Adam Sandler), a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, »

Sandy Wexler is the latest Netflix project from Adam Sandler. Here's the trailer...

By our maths, Adam Sandler now has one more film to go until he’s completed his deal with Netflix for four feature films. So far, we’ve had The Ridiculous Six (not very good) and The Do-Over (not very good). And for his third movie, Sandler has put together Sandy Wexler.

See related  Games nobody talks about anymore: Renegade

He’s not made this one alone. He’s reunited with The Do-Over director Steven Brill for a start, and he’s co-written the screenplay with Paul Sado and Dan Bulla. In terms of casting,, you’ll find Jennifer Hudson, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Arsenio Hall Terry Crews and Lamorne Morris picking up paycheques on this one.

The film will land on Netflix in April, and we’ve got a trailer and a synopsis. »

“Room full of stars, they’ve been getting drunk since 3,” host Jimmy Fallon teased in his opening monologue at the 74th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. Though, at that point, the party had only just begun. Once all of the winners were announced, the party-hopping began within and surrounding the Beverly Hilton.

Soon after the telecast ended, celebrities rushed to the onsite bashes from the Weinstein Co. and Netflix to Fox to HBO. The latter network didn’t let the ceremony’s outcome put a damper on its parade; stars from “Westworld” and “Insecure” toasted the night alongside executives and other notable guests.

Variety reporters also made their way to the exclusive fetes with some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Take a look at our insider report below:
