Graduated from Penn State University.
Spent three years working at Tower Records while writing the script for Se7en (1995).
Called David Koepp personally to read the script for Se7en (1995). Spoke to Koepp's assistant instead, who got Koepp to read the script. The rest is history.
Wrote an unproduced draft for X-Men (2000).
Had a well-publicized fallout with director Joel Schumacher over 8MM (1999).
Did some uncredited additions to the Fight Club (1999) script. In the final credits of the film the names of the three detectives who try to castrate the Narrator are Detectives Andrew, Kevin and Walker.
As script doctor, he did uncredited re-writes on The Game (1997), Event Horizon (1997) and Stir of Echoes (1999).
Did a rewrite for the yet to be released Silver Surfer (????/II) movie. He also wrote an adaptation of W. Somerset Maugham's 'Of Human Bondage'.
