Fans of the Transformers franchise had a good reason to tune into the big game today, as Paramount Pictures debuted a brand new Super Bowl TV spot for Transformers: The Last Knight. In addition to the new footage, the Transformers Facebook page also did some pre-game coverage for the Super Bowl that had some interesting advertising for Transformers 5 weaved in. Specifically, they decided to show off some baby Dinobots.

The video, which debuted on the official Transformers Facebook page, is very strange, but does feature new looks at the Dinobots that are going to appear in Transformers: The Last Knight, which include Slug, Grimlock and Strafe. The video doesn't feature a ton of new footage from the actual movie, but it does have quick glimpses of what appears to be the Dinobots in action. The majority of the video is commentary done in the style of a prototypical football announcer, »

Will The Last Knight Be Michael Bay's Final Transformers Movie?

3 February 2017 11:34 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

2017 marks the 10-year anniversary of the Transformers movie franchise and will see the release of the fifth movie featuring the giant, alien robots, all of which have been directed by Michael Bay. Transformers: The Last Knight is set for release this summer, though it isn't clear if it will be an improvement over Transformers: Age of Extinction. As the movie inches closer to release, we are learning more and more about it. Now, we have learned that Transformers 5 will probably be Michael Bay's last as director.

Michael Bay recently made a post on his own website about his history with the Transformers franchise and the upcoming Transformers: The Last Knight. He has said that he probably wouldn't direct another Transformers movie plenty of times before, but he is once again stating that he is probably done directing the robots in disguise on the big screen. Here is what he had to say. »

Bay Unleashes the 'Transformers: The Last Knight' Super Bowl TV Spot

3 February 2017 8:40 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Your world is dying. Do you seek redemption?" "My maker, I do." Paramount has released early the official 30-second Super Bowl TV spot for Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight, supposedly the final Transformers movie Michael Bay will direct (didn't he also say that a few movies ago?). This TV spot has new glimpses of epic sci-fi footage and the brutal Bumblebee vs Optimus battle (extended version coming on Sunday). The cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, John Goodman, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Isabela Moner, Santiago Cabrera, and Liam Garrigan as King Arthur; plus the same voices as before: Peter Cullen, Frank Welker and Ken Watanabe. I dig epic sci-fi movies and cool shots like the ones in this, but I have a feeling this is going to be so bad. Check it out. ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Super Bowl Trailer: Mark Wahlberg and the Autobots Go to War

3 February 2017 6:29 AM, PST | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Two worlds collide, but only one survives in the latest trailer for “Transformers: The Last Knight,” the fifth installment in Michael Bay’s action franchise. Previewed just two days before Super Bowl Li, the clip shows how Optimus Prime “has left us” and how the world is divided by the good and the bad.

“The Last Knight” sees the return of Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager and Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce from “Age of Extinction.” Also returning to the “Transformers” universe are original trilogy actors Tyrese Gibson, John Duhamel and John Turturro. Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Laura Haddock and Isabela Moner also co-star.

Plot details are scare, yet the trailer shows how a huge battle is on the way and with it, major explosions, demolishing of cities and skyscrapers, and plenty of action sequences ensue.

SAG Awards 2017 winners overshadowed by politics & Winona Ryder’s speech reaction

With awards season well underway, Last night saw the stars of Film and TV throw on their posh frocks to strut down the red carpet of The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards 2017), the awards in which their fellow peers give each other a huge pat on the back for their outstanding work.

Predictably and well deservingly so, Emma Stone and Viola Davis walked away with SAG Awards as well as Denzel Washington for Fences  – who is famously known for being the most nominated actor to never actually having won a SAG before, beating Casey Affleck’s performance in Manchester By The Sea. Claire Foy and John Lithgow also won awards for the Netflix series, The Crown. Poor old Emma Stone was just slightly overwhelmed with her award; you can watch her speech below.
