Wow. Fifteen years after Paul Thomas Anderson's valley opus Magnolia, we get the Millenium Entertainment take on Altman-esque sprawl with Reach Me. This film looks a bit out of its mind, but maybe it's in the service of some kind of mad genius. All I know is it doesn't look boring, even though it seems to be in search of a consistent tone (it oscillates wildly between serious pathos and comic relief). I will indeed be seeing it. Hit the jump for the Reach Me trailer and poster. Tom Sizemore has taken to crowdfunding platform Indiegogo to raise funds for his passion project An Honest Thief, a noir-ish thriller that the Heat and Saving Private Ryan actor is putting together as a starring vehicle. It’s his first film as a producer and a step toward rebuilding his up-and-down career following a public relapse in January, but Sizemore says he has refocused his sights on sobriety and is optimistic. “I want to get back,” he said over the phone Wednesday. “I want to make something I look forward to.”
An Honest Thief is written by the actor’s younger brother Aaron Sizemore and tracks three outcasts who plot to steal a prized baseball card collection from a local pawnbroker. Belgian helmer Giorgio Serafini (Gente Di Mare) is attached to direct the pic, which is set in Sizemore’s hometown of Detroit and will film on location. Sizemore will play Danny St. »

Sharing a Netflix account with a friend—or “borrowing” theirs—and looking for a way to avoid awkward discussions about that season of Gossip Girl you watched five times? Good news: The streaming service will now let you hide your viewing activity.
Netflix has introduced a new feature that allows subscribers to delete items from their viewing history. The tool should improve Netflix’s suggestions for viewers so that the occasional half-watched 1980s comedy or recent foreign documentary can no longer influence the films and television shows that Netflix promotes. Though hopefully it will continue to title these suggestions with »

Nick wades into another stack of DVD releases, including 80s action epic Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous, and lots more besides...
"Whatever happened to Fred Ward?" is a line surely on the tip of most people’s tongues. Apparently, the star of Tremors and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult has mostly been doing TV work over the last few years, though you’ll almost certainly remember him as the charismatic star of 1985’s Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. No? Well, shame on you, because Remo, making a welcome Blu-Ray debut, leads this month’s action-packed, erm, action special.
If you weren’t one of the lucky few that grew up with the preposterous movie otherwise known as Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous punctuating their childhood, we’ll fill you in. Riding on the success of the Rambo films (essentially, the only tenuous link being the vaguely similar name), Bond director »

It’s easy to think you know an actor through the characters that they play, or even to assume you know something about an actor by the sheer fact that they’re an actor. Particularly when someone is often type-cast, it can sometimes be hard to swallow when you find out something that changes how you see a big name. For instance, when a huge star like Tom Cruise became an insane scientologist, or when you find out that awesome badass action-star Vin Diesel has been an avid Dungeons and Dragons fan for 20 years, or even the knowledge that Pam and Jim aren’t a couple in real life (weep), can change your perspective on an actor you took for granted as their character(s).
Sometimes our favourite actors’ rise to fame has been shaky, unintended, or even baffling, such as Danny Trejo’s movement from drug counselor to world-class badass. »

Wednesday night’s premiere of Lionsgate-Pantelion’s “Cantinflas” at the Tcl Chinese offered a fine sense of Hollywood history.
The biopic, which opens Friday, debuted at the same location where the iconic Mexican actor placed his hand and footprints in 1960 for the “Pepe” premiere. Oscar Jaenada was more than happy to explore the past.

On August 24th, a beautiful Sunday evening, a line formed outside of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The crowd was full of diverse characters, but we all had one thing in common: we have a strong love of horror, and music. So there I was, about to enter Johnny Ramones 10th Anniversary Tribute, and I was ready to enjoy a memorable experience.
For those who are not familiar with the venue, it is actually a cemetery. It is also the final resting place of many celebrities, including Johnny Ramone himself. Often there are movie screenings there, and you are allowed to view the film picnic style, with blankets, chairs, and coolers. In other words, it’s a really cool way to watch a movie.
Soon after everyone entered the premises, many claimed seats on the lawn, and others ventured into the mausoleum to observe some very awesome horror goodies from the »
