Now that the first ridiculously good looking teaser is out in the open, fans are keeping one eye trained on February 12 in anticipation of Zoolander 2. Paramount Pictures may be kicking tradition to the curb by releasing a sequel nearly 15 years after its original, but the reception of the announcement at the Paris fashion show back in April was enough to convince Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson that, yes, there is more to life than being ridiculously, ridiculously good looking.
Filming on the fashion sequel is well underway, and though there are scant details about the actual plot, we can expect the follow-up to apply its goofy, over-the-top humor to the modern fashion landscape and the Instagram generation. One of the main questions looming over Zoolander 2, however, is whether the film still holds the cache since the release of the original at the turn of the Millennium. It’s »

If you’ve ever spent even a moment perusing the Instagram account of a celebrity, you quickly realize that all famous people are best friends with each other. I was reminded of this after wandering into a Vogue magazine slideshow drawn from the Instagram account of Cara Delevingne, the model and actress who currently stars in Paper Towns. Included within the selected 24 candid snapshots: Rihanna, Kate Moss, Miley Cyrus, Ben Stiller, Pharrell Williams, Karl Lagerfeld, Karlie Kloss, Stella McCartney, and Justin Bieber. Naturally, you’d assume that, say, a professional model would have reason to be hanging with other professional models and/or famous fashion designers and/or famous fashion-oriented celebrities. But that always seems, in part, to be the point of these Instagram fame-blizzards: The message isn’t, Here are the people I mingle with professionally but, rather, All of us are total besties who hang out all the time. »

If you’re a fan of Comedy Central’s Another Period, it’s time to grab some cocaine wine and celebrate. The network has renewed the freshman comedy series for a ten-episode second season. Another Period was created Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome, who also star as the two oblivious, obnoxious, and self-centered Bellacourt sisters, Lillian and Beatrice. The series, which is also executive produced by Jeremy Kroner, Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld, and Mike Rosenstein, centers on the Bellacourt family and particularly focuses on Leggero’s Lillian and Lindhome’s Beatrice, who only care about being rich and becoming super famous (which is a lot harder in 1902). “Another Period is a beautiful reflection of a great American truth: the more things change, the more they stay the same,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s President of Original Programming, in a statement. “We are thrilled that Comedy Central has such good taste, »

Chicago – Greta Gerwig’s persona as a character actress has blossomed in the last three years, as she has taken on three women in their twenties at the crossroads of life, in that life decade of consequence. In addition to her title roles in “Lola Versus” and “Francis Ha,” her latest is “Mistress America,” which she also co-wrote.
Directed by Noah Baumbach, the film is essentially a buddy comedy, if the buddies are two women – one a Freshman in college and aspiring writer named Tracy (Lola Kirke), and the other (Gerwig) a overwrought urban survivalist named Brooke – living with uncertainty, guile and pomposity in New York City. Like the Greta Gerwig characters of Lola and Francis, Brooke is an achiever in a different way, as they all learn to understand what their purpose is, when challenged with life altering change that is not necessarily what they wanted.

It wouldn't be the first movie to try and rip off the '80s classic. We look at 6 flicks that desperately wanted to be 1984's Ghostbusters below...
1. Pixels (2015)
In Adam Sandler's latest offering, video game characters spring to life and declare war on Earth after misinterpreting feeds of classic arcade games. It's down to a disparate team of former hardcore gamers to save the day.
Conceptually, Pixels is bursting with great ideas but sinks thanks to its leading man getting crowbarred in - this is very much an "Adam Sandler Movie" and much the worse for it. To hammer home the Ghostbusters link there's even a cameo role for Dan Aykroyd.
2. Men in Black (1997)
New York director Noah Baumbach, the child of writers, writes consistently smart screenplays about that urban intellectual milieu, from his debut "Kicking and Screaming" to his Oscar-nominated "The Squid and the Whale," arguably his most fully realized film to date, which broke out Jesse Eisenberg, followed by less well-received "Margot at the Wedding," which was a dark, dead-on accurate portrait of a family of narcissists. Baumbach is willing to show characters who are lost and flailing. Ben Stiller has portrayed his alter-ego twice now, in L.A.-set "Greenberg," co-starring Greta Gerwig, which made me squirm with discomfort, and in "While We're Young." This Friday, Fox Searchlight opens enchanting comedy "Mistress America," which Baumbauch wrote with his partner and actress muse Greta Gerwig (who collaborated with him memorably on "Frances Ha"), creating Brooke, the most entertaining screwball heroine since »
