Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick's Maui Getaway

28 December 2011 7:00 AM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Listen up young Hollywood: the couple that rows together, stays together. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have been holding their own as one of Tinseltown's most legendary couplings since their 1988 nuptials. So, how do the actors keep their more than two decade-long marriage alive? They never stop exploring.

Sedgwick and Bacon jetted off to Maui for some holiday "me time," soaking up the sun and doing a little boating too. Although, from the looks of these snapshots, Sedgwick seems to be doing most of the rowing while Bacon suns himself at the bow.

Check out Kyra and Kevin's canoe jaunt below:

Kyra Sedgwick's Mom Has A Crush On Craig Ferguson

23 December 2011 1:15 AM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Craig Ferguson learned something about Kyra Sedgwick's family that he probably didn't expect on "The Late Late Show" (Weeknights, 12:37 a.m. Est on CBS). Sedgwick's mother has a massive crush on him. It's so serious that when her daughter calls, she'll tell her, "Oh my boyfriend's on and I can't talk."

So Ferguson asked what Mama Sedgwick's name was and then he turned directly to the camera. "Hey Pat," he said to her through the television. "Lookin' good, Pat. Just undo the top button."

Sedgwick was laughing uncontrollably during this, but told him that it would probably make her mother's day what he'd just done.

"If that's all it took, I would do that all the time to everybody," Ferguson said. Maybe each day, he could address the camera with a different random first name and just work his way through as many as he can come up with. »

Homeland Not Nominated for SAG Awards

14 December 2011 2:50 PM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

What is this, a conspiracy? Showtime's spy thriller Homeland, which I picked as my No. 1 show for 2011 in People's year-end issue (and which is a pretty safe bet to dominate top-10 lists elsewhere), is homeless - at least when it comes to the Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, announced Wednesday. (President Barack Obama, in the same issue of People, reveals that the show is a favorite of his, as well. Just saying ...) The show, renewed for a second season, wouldn't work if it weren't for the tense gamesmanship and sexual chemistry of Claire Danes, as a CIA analyst, and Damian Lewis, »

Nominations for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

14 December 2011 11:30 AM, PST | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their list of nominations for the best performances of 2011. I have to point out that I'm surprised Tom Hardy and Joel Edgarton weren't nominated for their roles in Warrior, because they were pretty damn awesome in that film. I think they deserved a nom more than Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio but his performance in J. Edgar wasn't his best. Brad Pitt will end up taking home the award for Moneyball though. It was great to see Bridesmaids and The Help get a nomination for best ensemble cast. It will be interesting to see who takes home the award on this list, and how many of them will make their way to the Oscars.

Who would you like to see take home the award?

Here's the full press released with the list of Nominations:

Among the SAG nominations, there are plenty of the familiar names that have garnered awards attention this year, but also a fair number of surprises.

Chicago – The announcements keep coming for award season winners and nominees. Today, we have the list of nominees for this year’s Screen Actors’ Guild awards. The awards celebrate the best male and female performances in film and television, leaving out awards like Best Picture or Best Director. “The Help” leads this year’s films with four different nominations.

The nominees for the top prize of the night, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, are the casts of “The Artist,” “Bridesmaids,” “The Descendants,” “The Help,” and “Midnight in Paris.” Curious not to see “Moneyball” or “My Week with Marilyn” on this list as both films have two individual nominations for top acting awards (Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill for “Moneyball” and Michelle Williams and Kenneth Brangah for “Marilyn”).
