Matthew Perry Talks ‘Friends’ Residual Checks, Reveals Which Chandler Storyline He Axed

19 May 2017 1:56 AM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

It pays to be on one of the biggest sitcoms of all time! Matthew Perry visited Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, where a fan called in and asked the actor about his Friends residual checks.

“I get a little something and I go, ‘Hey, that’s nice!’” Perry said elusively. “It’s a really great job I had… I started the job when I was 24. It was amazing. I had the job from 24 to 34, I’ll never have a job like that ever again.”

The Friends talk continued when Perry played “Plead the Fifth.” Right out of the gate, the 47-year-old actor, who played Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom, pleaded the fifth when asked to play “Shag, Marry, Kill” with his three female Friends co-stars.

Host Cohen then asked Perry about David Schwimmer’s claim that some »

That Time David Schwimmer Destroyed James Corden in a Rap Battle

5 May 2017 1:00 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Instead of focusing on the present I want to take all of you back to one of the best rap battles in the history of The Late Late Show.  It’s going on nearly a year now but back in May of 2016 James Corden had David Schwimmer on as a guest.   The two went head to head in what’s a regular segment on Corden’s show, “Drop the mic.”   I’m pretty sure when it first started everyone just assumed that Corden would wipe the floor with Schwimmer. After all, he’s an easy target.  Schwimmer’s done relatively little since his time on

Fox News Host Criticized for Suggestive Comment About Ivanka Trump

26 April 2017 1:48 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

A version of this article originally appeared on EW.com.

Jesse Watters of Fox News took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend himself over a seemingly suggestive comment he made about Ivanka Trump.

On Tuesday, the co-host of The Five discussed Trump’s presence at the W20 Summit for women’s empowerment in Berlin, during which the president’s daughter was booed for her comments claiming Donald Trump “has been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive.”

Watters first began by bashing the left for disrespecting Trump and Europeans for turning the panel into “a soccer match. »

Watch James Corden Call Riz Ahmed 'World's Worst Version of Will Smith'

18 April 2017 10:37 AM, PDT | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

The insults ran deep – and cheap – on Monday night's rap battle between Girls and Star Wars actor Riz Ahmed and Late Late Show host James Corden.

The crowd deemed Ahmed the freestyle winner. Though for someone who also raps in real life, the Rogue One actor's jabs at Corden were mostly predictable fat jokes: "You look like Matt Damon if he only ate butter" to "I saw you at Coachella – you were the big white tent." After Corden made a dig at Ahmed's Rogue One performance (making him "miss the »

Clique episode 6 review

BBC Three drama Clique concludes with a finale that balances the show's two identities well. Spoilers ahead...

This review contains spoilers.

I’ll cop to, six weeks ago, not having high expectations for Clique beyond its attempts to emulate the glossy female-centric Us dramas that haven’t quite caught on over here. It fulfilled that promise well, with its scandalous relationships, dark undertones and racy sex scenes.

But then it did something I wasn’t expecting - it attempted to be something more than that. Amidst the so-so mystery and slightly boring financial sub-plots there was a complicated look at modern feminism in relation to ambition, friendship and shame. It gave us a mentor with a troublesome (but not unpopular) take on gender dynamics and inserted »

Fast 8: writer offers some curious sequel ideas

Ryan Lambie Apr 10, 2017

The screenwriter behind Fast & Furious 8 discusses some far-out ideas for future Fast sequels...

The Fate Of The Furious. Fast & The Furious 8. Fast 8. Or, as it's known by its keyboard shortcut, F8. The latest in the long-running, wheel-spinning franchise sees Vin Diesel team up with a super hacker played by Charlize Theron in yet another car-related, action-packed caper. The movie's out this week, and if it's a success, we're sure to see yet more installments roll out of Universal's garage in the near future.

In the run-up to Fast 8's release, screenwriter Chris Morgan's been talking to Uproxx about some of the directions the series could potentially take - and he certainly isn't ruling out the possibility of a sequel set outside Earth's orbit.

Tobin Bell Just Has to Be Crazy In Real Life Too, Right?

9 April 2017 12:00 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

I wrote a small article the other day that dives into how we often psychoanalyze the characters on TV and associate these characters with the celebrities that play them.  I brought up David Schwimmer as a prime example of a real life celebrity that I couldn’t stand simply because he played Ross Geller on Friends.   We do this all the time.  We tend to associate a TV character’s personality with one of the celebrity that plays said character.  Even though it’s completely twisted and makes zero sense, we do it anyway.  Well, here’s another one that I’ve fallen victim to:

Star Wars Episode 9: existing footage to be used to bring back Carrie Fisher

Ryan Lambie Apr 10, 2017

Following the tragic loss of Carrie Fisher, the makers of Star Wars Episode 9 will be using existing footage to bring back Princess Leia...

When Carrie Fisher tragically passed away last year, we lost a true screen icon, a wonderful writer, and an extraordinarily talented raconteur. In the Star Wars universe itself, there was the question of General Leia, who'd played a major role in 2015's The Force Awakens. Not long after Fisher's passing, it was announced that the actress had already completed filming on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, out later this year; that still left the question of Episode IX, which is set to be directed by Colin Trevorrow.

So today I was reading about the fact that David Schwimmer is separating from his wife.  I couldn’t help but to feel nothing.  I mean the guy is a human being.  He has a life just like any of us.  He has a marriage that ran its course just like any marriage with problems do.  I’m sure it’s a difficult time for Schwimmer and his wife and honestly I hope that they can have an amicable split.  But there’s one reason why I didn’t feel too badly, and it’s the dumbest reason on earth.  That reason is Ross Geller.  Because

The Shining and the immortality of evil

What's The Shining really about? We delve into the underlying theme of Stanley Kubrick's horror classic...

Few horror films have been as closely studied and intimately dissected as Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. The simple story of a family ripped apart by the effects of a remote, haunted hotel, Kubrick's film has only grown in mystique since its release in 1980. Clearly, there's far more going on below the surface, but what does Kubrick's imagery and symbolism - much of it unique to the film, and absent from Stephen King's source novel - actually mean?
