Imagine you had the kind of juice that allowed you to employ all of your friends, even in the harshest of times. These days, I.m sure your friends would be stoked that you could get them a job selling sodas at the local 7-11, but Adam Sandler.s friends have come to expect a little more from. He can hire them on to his movies as directors, writers, and especially co-stars. Yet another of Sandler.s friends has joined the cast of Grown-Ups, the Sandler-penned, Dennis Dugan directed comedy expected to be released next summer. Sony is shuffling its summer 2010 lineup and has moved the Adam Sandler buddy comedy Grown Ups out of March and will now open June 25, which was the original date for the studio's Seth Rogen action-comedy The Green Hornet, which will now open July 9.
According to Variety, the Sandler comedy stars Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade and Rob Schneider, and had been set for March 12.
The film storyline, however, is ready-made for release near the July 4th holiday. (Sony's decision follows the blockbuster success of this summer's buddy laffer The Hangover, from Warner Bros.)
Grown Ups revolves around five friends who reunite after decades apart. The comedy reteams Sandler and director Dennis Dugan; Sandler penned the script.
The Green Hornet follows a newspaperman who turns into a masked crime-fighter at night. Stephen Chow also stars. Rogen penned the script with Evan Goldberg.
The June-July stretch next year is already jam-packed,

Columbia has moved Michel Gondry’s upcoming adaptation of TV’s The Green Hornet back two weeks to accommodate Denni Dugan’s comedy, Grown Ups. Green Hornet will be moving from June 25, 2010 to July 9, 2010 while Grown Ups moves from March 12th to a spiffy new June 15th date.
Columbia is hoping to rake in some cash before the third entry in the tween vampire series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, drops in to swoon suburban goth girls.
The Green Hornet stars Seth Rogen as newspaper publisher Britt Reid. When not working to save his daily from the evil of the economy, he puts on a green mask and saves damsels.
Fuzzy face.
According to an interview by Rogen while promoting Monsters vs. Aliens in Australia earlier this year, the co-scribe and star, stated that the film will be an “origin story,” but not in the traditional sense. “…it’ll be unlike

Holy crap guys, Seth Rogen's Green Hornet movie is coming out next summer. Am I the only one who is surprised by this? I always assumed Seth Rogen could only become a superhero in some theoretical future, that same theoretical future in which Michel Gondry gets to direct a giant summer blockbuster. But turns out, the future is now, or at least next summer. This is not news, just a friendly reminder. The shock to me comes courtesy of Variety, which reports that Sony has pushed back the release of Green Hornet by two weeks to July 9, in order to make room for the dude comedy Grown Ups, starring Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, and presumably anyone else who was moderately funny in the 90s. Variety points out that the move is pretty much definitely due to the success of The Hangover, which proved

Sony is playing musical chairs with two of its big 2010 comedies.Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet, starring Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow as a crime-fighting duo, is so high near the top of our must-see list that it’s not even funny (the movie itself, hopefully, will be) – but we’ll have to wait an extra two weeks to see it, as it’s moved from June 25 to July 9.But Sony has moved quickly to fill the vacuum left by Rogen’s action comedy, by moving Grown Ups, otherwise known as the Happy Madison reunion movie, into that date from its original March 12 berth.Clearly, Sony is very confident about the commercial appeal of the movie, which teams Sandler with his old chums Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, and Kevin James as old high school buddies enjoying a reunion. That’s high on our must-see list, too, but for entirely different reasons.

Though there's nearly a year left before the film's release, and the dirt hasn't even been shifted on production for the film yet, and The Twilight Saga: New Moon hasn't even hit theatres, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, and directed by David Slade) is already being recognized as a source of 'formidable competition' for 2010's summer film schedule. A recent Variety article highlighted an up-coming Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, and David Spade film entitled Grown Ups, which is set for release on June 25, 2010. In the article, Variety states that "[f]ormidable competition should come with the opening five days later on June 30 of Summit's 'Twilight: The Eclipse.' Paramount's 'The Last Airbender,' from M. Columbia Pictures is doing a little release date shifting this week. According to ercBoxOffice, the studio has moved Michel Gondry's action comedy The Green Hornet, which will star Seth Rogen and Stephen Chow, from June 25, 2010 to a July 9, 2010 release. The move makes room for the all-star cast comedy Grown Ups -- which will star the likes of Kevin James, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Salma Hayek and Maya Rudolph -- which has been moved from March 12 to June 25, 2010. This move wedges Green Hornet between Toy Story 3, which drops a week before, and Twilight: New Moon, which hits theaters the following week. And if you ask me, that's not a bad move, just not a great one. As we've seen this summer, getting caught in the clutter is possible -- just ask some of those May releases. Even though The Green Hornet doesn't share the same target demos as Toy Story 3 and

It seems Kevin James has been promoted from mall cop to zookeeper in the upcoming comedy called... wait for it... The Zookeeper. (Let's hope he doesn't play a combination analyst/therapist in his next movie.) James' character is a bit lacking in knowledge when it comes to the ladies, so the animals in his charge take notice and try to help him win Rosario Dawson's heart. How you ask? By talking to him and sharing their own relationship advice! Variety has just revealed the A-list talent that will be providing the voices for the animals includes Adam Sandler as a monkey, Jon Favreau as a bear, Sylvester Stallone as a lion, Cher as a giraffe, and Judd Apatow as an elephant. The Zookeeper is being directed by Frank Coraci, whose sole quality film (The Wedding Singer) was made over ten years ago. Since then he's brought us The Waterboy, Around The World In 80 Days

Aside from some potentially disturbing images, news has been pretty quiet about casting for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2. But recently, G4’s Olivia Munn, host of Attack of the Show, tweeted on Twitter that she’s working on two new film projects, one being the Tina Fey/Steve Carell project Date Night, and one that she couldn’t “legally” discuss.
It turns out that the film in question is Iron Man 2 and the general assumption is that she will have more of a cameo, showing up in a scene or two. Munn did, however, say on Twitter that she will “definitely” have a bigger part than her one-minute scene in Rob Schneider’s direct-to-dvd film Big Stan.
Aside from Stan, Munn can soon be seen in Broken Lizard’s Slammin’ Salmon, and of course every day on G4’s Attack of the Show, where they just announced

Back in April, Attack of the Show co-host Olivia Munn revealed on Twitter that she has been cast in two upcoming movies: One is the upcoming Steve Carell/Tina Fey comedy Date Night, and the other is some project that she was working out for but wasn't "legally" allowed to publicly discuss yet. It turns out that she has a role in Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2. No word on how large of a role she might play. I assume that she'll probably be in one or two scenes, possibly as a television announcer. Munn said on Twitter that her role is "definitely" bigger than her one minute appearance in Rob Schneider's Big Stan. Update: Munn later commented on our story on her twitter account: slashfilm took a guess at my role in iron man 2 and i am not playing a reporter. but that's all i can say.
