The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the fourth announced. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on CBS.
With CBS leading in viewers by the widest margin of any network in 23 years, the network has little need to refresh its line-up this year - especially with last season's successes like "2 Broke Girls" and "Persons of Interest" adding to a solid run of hits in recent years.
Yet it's not resting on its laurels, ordering six new shows and shifting four existing shows around the schedule to shore up its weak points, in the process teaming its two biggest comedies "Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men" on the one night.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen include cop drama "The Widow Detective", various comedies about twenty »

Elementary: First Look at CBS' New Sherlock Holmes Drama
CBS is putting a twist on the classic tale of Sherlock Holmes with the new fall drama, Elementary.
The show stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes, but this time Watson is played by Lucy Liu. The duo live in New York City, solving tough cases for the NYPD.
As it turns out, Holmes has a bit of a history in Elementary. The fate of Gcb, one of our favorite new shows, will be decided in the next few weeks, and right now, there's a 50/50 chance it'll survive. If it does get canceled, at least it'll instantly become a member of what we'll call the Arrested Development/Freaks & Geeks/Firefly club. Shows that were canceled before their time, and have gained cult status since they left the airwaves.
All of those programs have rabid enthusiastic followers, and in the case of Firefly and Arrested Development, that fan enthusiasm has directly led to big screen resurrections.
We're hoping Gcb gets a renewal, but while we wait, let's take a look at a few other shows throughout the years that were unfairly snuffed out, and picture ... what might have been.
