Kurt Sutter Talks Sons of Anarchy Season 4 Finale and What's Coming in Season 5

8 December 2011 4:32 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

FX aired the explosive Season 4 finale of Sons of Anarchy on Tuesday, December 6, which raises a lot of questions for Season 5 next year. Series creator Kurt Sutter recently held a conference call to discuss the fallout from this finale, Episode 4.14: To Be, Act 2, and here's what he had to say below.

So, 'Opie' lost his wife and his father because of the club, and 'Jax' has lost his father; his son was kidnapped, and 'Tara' was injured. Why is it that these guys can stay so loyal to the club despite being-it seems to be bent on destroying them?

Kurt Sutter: I think ultimately, as we've talked about with some of the characters-but I think it's really for the most part it's all these guys know. And for me it's the crux of the drama-at least with 'Jax'-is he was raised in this world, and it's all he knows, »

Tonight on Revenge: The Graysons Celebrate an Awkward Anniversary in Episode 7 (Sneak Peeks)

2 November 2011 8:17 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Last week's Revenge featured Frank getting exposed to the Graysons for his role in Lydia's accident (she now resides in a coma).  But Frank isn't prepared to give up being close to Victoria, so instead of leaving as Conrad suggested, he's going to stick around and get to the bottom of everything, including learning more about Emily.  Meanwhile, Daniel started working at Jack's bar and Tyler stepped up his creepy game by drugging Daniel and then coming on to him.  When Daniel refused, Tyler went the extra mile and hurt himself, later complaining to Victoria that Daniel had done it.  For more of a refresher on what happened in the last episode, read our recap.

Tonight's episode of Revenge features the Graysons' 25 anniversary, thus proving my theory that every single episode of this show must contain at least one event deserving of a party.  But with the recent turmoil in their life, »

Revenge Photos & Promo: Will Frank Uncover Emily's Past in Episode 7?

26 October 2011 8:05 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Well, here's an interesting new development - it turns out that Lydia isn't dead.  Despite landing on a car, she's in a coma.  Naturally, Nolan and Emily are concerned about the possibility that she'll wake up and remember what she learned about Emily/Amanda before she fell.  So they decide to be proactive and make sure that Frank's bad deeds overshadow their own by sending Conrad the video of Frank and Lydia fighting.  Naturally, Victoria and Conrad want Frank out of their lives after that he did, but he's desperate to stay near Victoria (who he is clearly in love with).

Meanwhile, Tyler is still acting creepy and trying to make trouble for Daniel, while Jack made his own play for Emily, but she gently shot him down because she's with Daniel.  For more details about this week's episode, read our full recap and review.

Did Emily VanCamp’s hunky, blue collar childhood crush look familiar in the premiere of ABC’s Revenge (Wednesdays at 10/9c)? Yep, that’s an all-grown-up Kyle Valenti playing Jack Porter, one of the romantic leads in Revenge‘s nascent love triangle.

While Wechsler is “excited” about channeling his inner white knight, he confesses it’s not a role that comes naturally to him. “There is part of me that will always feel wrong for any leading man-type, »

Just the Facts: 7 TV Detectives You’d Want Working Your Case

14 September 2011 3:09 PM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Cop shows have been around almost as long as television itself and have run the gamut, from procedurals to sitcoms to serialized dramas. They’ve given us some of TV’s most memorable and enduring characters, not to mention some of the medium’s best performances. Yet, upon examination, disproportionately few of the detectives who grace our screens are particularly great at their jobs and often those that are have any number of person issues that get in the way. Between alcoholism, anger issues, corruption, family drama, and neuroses, a reliable TV cop can be hard to find, let alone one who’s great at their job. This isn’t a list of the most interesting cops or the best performances or even the most realistic. This list looks at the detectives we would want working our case if the need arose.

Note: Due to the specific parameters of this list, »

"Warehouse 13" Episode 307 Picture Recap: Steve and the Hot Knob

23 August 2011 12:25 PM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Before we begin, let's provide a bit of background for those just tuning in to the show.

For the uninitiated, W13 is a top secret facility in South Dakota which houses rare and dangerous artifacts, such as Lewis Carroll's looking glass, Robin Hood's crossbow, and Michele Bachmann's brain stem.

Secret Service Agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) are assigned to retrieve the supernatural items, with help from Warehouse director Mrs. Frederic (Cch Pounder), agent-in-charge Artie (Saul Rubinek), and hot flame-haired tech geek Claudia (Allison Scagliotti).

This season also saw the debut of new agent Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore), who has the ability to tell when someone is lying, and is the first recurring gay character on Syfy since Caprica's Sam Adama.

This week's episode of Warehouse 13 once again relegates Steve to the "B" story, which is fine, since it's more entertaining than the "A" story. »

Box Set Club: The Shield

23 August 2011 4:40 AM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Based on a notorious real-life case of La police corruption, The Shield ranks among the best television ever made

The Shield has never enjoyed the universal popularity of The Sopranos nor the critical reputation of The Wire, but it ran for seven seasons, merging police procedural with a doomed quest for salvation. Watching it again, you are immediately reminded of how groundbreaking the show was when it was first broadcast in 2002 on Channel 5, buried somewhere late in the schedule. When it was announced, it was difficult to get too excited over yet another series about a rogue cop bending the rules to get results - and especially one who looked like Ross Kemp. Then Vic Mackey shot good guy cop Terry Crowley in the face in the pilot. After that it was difficult to see how Vic would ever be redeemed no matter how many drug dealers he beat up »

A trio of powerhouse actors – Lindsay Wagner, Sasha Roiz and Rene Auberjonois– will guest star on Syfy’s hit series Warehouse 13. In Monday’s episode, “Love Sick,” Roiz (Caprica), plays the mysterious and sinister Marcus Diamond.

"Warehouse 13" Episode 301 Picture Recap: "The New Guy"

12 July 2011 9:23 AM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

I can admit when I'm wrong.

When Warehouse 13 debuted on Syfy, I immediately took to our Facebook page to decry it as just a "Robey-less Friday the 13th - The Series." There were many people on Facebook who disagreed with me ... including the show's star Eddie McClintock, who implored me to give the show another shot.

So I gave the show another shot. But it had nothing to do with Eddie! I just felt that I hadn't really given the show a proper chance, so I tried again, and eventually found myself hooked. Warehouse 13 is fun, goofy, and sexy, and may have its best season yet this year.

For the uninitiated, W13 is a top secret facility in South Dakota which houses rare and dangerous artifacts, such as Lewis Carroll's looking glass, Robin Hood's crossbow, and James Franco's brownie recipe.
