The U.S. run of Julian Fellowes’ award-winning series Downton Abbey aired its finale in March 2016 after six seasons and now, exactly a year after later, the show’s star Michelle Dockery remains hopeful the doors on the fictional Yorkshire country estate are still open for a film adaptation.

On Friday, Downton Abbey costars Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley) and Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith Crawley) enjoyed quite the magical reunion at one of the happiest places on earth — Disneyland!

The British stars, joined by Michael Fox, Jessica de Gouw and Kelly Paterniti, embraced hugs from the lovable Goofy outside of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Anaheim, California theme park.

The first image has been released from movie “The Wife,” starring six-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close, whose work has ranged from “Guardians of the Galaxy” through to “Damages,” and Jonathan Pryce, best known for “Game of Thrones” and now starring in “Taboo” alongside Tom Hardy. Embankment Films will be selling the pic at Berlin.

Close plays the eponymous role of Joan Castleman, with Pryce as her Nobel prize-winning husband.

Downton Abbey Cast Has Sweet Reunion at the Screen Actors Guild Awards

The Downton Abbey cast is still as close as ever.

The cast had a mini reunion at the Screen Actors Guild Award on Sunday night. Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Lesley Nicoli, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan and more posed together on the red carpet.

And while the show might have wrapped in 2015, the cast still makes sure to stay in touch.

“We bump into one another,” Logan said on People and Entertainment Weekly’s official live pre-show. “We did have a meetup recently. Some of us were all there — 30 of us. We had dinner.”
