Kellan Lutz (photo), best known for playing Emmett Cullen in the Twilight movies, and Resident Evil actress Spencer Locke, will star in the performance-capture 3D movie Tarzan, adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic tale, and to be directed by Animals United’s producers / directors Reinhard Klooss and Holger Tappe. Needless to say, Lutz will bring Tarzan back to life, while Locke will play Jane. The screenplay was written by Klooss, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs‘ Yoni Brenner and Jessica Postigo, whose sole listed credit on the IMDb is Harald Zwart’s The Mortal Instruments, currently in pre-production. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it updates Burroughs’ story by having Tarzan’s parents killed in a plane crash, the CEO of Greystoke Energies as the film’s chief villain, and Jane as an environmentally conscious heroine. Ex-pop singer turned actor Martin Kemp makes his directorial debut with Stalker, a remake of the classic 1976 video nasty Expose which starred Fiona Hayden and Linda Hayden – who also appears in this film alongside Jane March, Colin Salmon, Anna Brecon, Billy Murray and Jeniffer Matter.

To celebrate the DVD release of the award-winning Stalker, The Hollywood News has teamed up with Black and Blue Films for this exclusive give away.
The directorial debut of Martin Kemp, Stalker tells the story of Paula (Anna Brecon), a troubled novelist who returns to her isolated family home to overcome her writer’s block. But when her new Pa (Jane March) arrives the bodies begin the pile up, and Anna finds herself trapped in a web of madness and murder.
Stalker was a critical success last year, and cleaned up at the Scream horror awards, nabbing the gongs for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor (for Billy Murray) amongst others.

Coming from UK production house, Black and Blue Films, Stalker is their latest in a steady stream of horror flicks, and also marks the directorial debut of Martin Kemp. The obvious question is whether Kemp, best known as an actor and musician, is a capable director and screenwriter. Fortunately, Kemp has put in a spirited and competent effort, and despite some flaws, has made an effective psycho-thriller.

Fairy tales are hot again in Hollywood. You’ve got “Once Upon a Time” and “Grimm” on TV. Bryan’s Singer’s Jack the Giant Killer and Pixar’s Brave continue the trend on big screens this summer.
