Britney Spears now has a video set to Marilyn Manson's "Sweet Dreams"

16 November 2011 6:15 AM, PST | Nerve | See recent Nerve news »

Britney Spears has all kinds of personas. There's sexy astronaut Britney from "Oops!…I Did It Again," sexy carny Britney from "Circus," and sexy sex-fiend Britney from "I'm a Slave 4 U." So I guess it's not surprising that this newly leaked Britney video set to a Marilyn Manson song features sexiness, in shockingly large amounts .  After being shown as an "interlude" between Britney's costume changes on her Circus tour in 2009, this video of Britney and friends gyrating to Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams" has finally been leaked online. In case you needed more proof that Britney Spears is a put-on-a-show kind of girl:    ... well, that's kind of darkly arousing.  I have a couple of observations. One: Britney's Circus tour might have been one of the most elaborate spectacles of all time. [...] »

" Sweet Dreams " are made of ... Britney? Ms. Spears filmed a provocative music video for Marilyn Manson 's cover of the Eurythmics hit for her Circus tour in 2009 -- and now the full, hi-res version of the video has finally been released online. The sexy vid has Britney doing what she does best: Mouthing words to songs while flipping her hair and gyrating on people and other inanimate objects. It's definitely one of the darkest clips she's ever done -- what do you think? Read more »

Bradley Cooper as 'The Crow': What might have been

14 November 2011 1:33 PM, PST | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

So remember when news broke that Bradley Cooper, star of "The Hangover," "The Hangover 2" and the upcoming "Hangover 3D" (okay, we made that last one up, though a third film is reportedly in development), planned to star in a remake of "The Crow" playing the title role originated by Brandon Lee in 1994?

Yeah, well, it didn't pan out, but thanks to Vulture, some leaked concept art about what Cooper's character might have looked like leaked online over the weekend. And all we can say is, meet the Boy with the Dragon Tattoo. At least that was our initial reaction.

In one (above), Cooper sports a futuristic, yet retro mohawk that definitely calls Rooney Mara's and Noomi Rapace's Lisbeth Salander to mind. Also, Marilyn Manson on a particularly bad day. Or, umm, Bradley Cooper wearing his "My First Goth" Halloween costume.

We were more into this rendition of Cooper-Crow, »

Christina Ricci: 'I don't think anything I said was really dark'

11 November 2011 4:07 PM, PST | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

Christina Ricci was the little gothic girl who shot to fame aged nine and liked to shock. Now the veteran star of new TV series Pan Am, she tells how she's left her dark days behind

The image of Christina Ricci, as an actor of arresting darkness, hasn't had much of an airing lately – for the past few years her output has been confined mainly to voiceovers and guest appearances in TV shows. As a result, perhaps, the 31-year-old has not aged in the public eye; she appears suddenly in a restaurant in Brooklyn, still child-sized, eyes not quite to scale, with that expressionless gaze behind which, one imagines, seditious thoughts circulate. Over the course of lunch, she will by turns be giggly, friendly, enthusiastic, monosyllabic and studiously anodyne. It is like watching someone page through the ringtones of human behaviour. "I'm an actress," she says, "we constantly let things out. »

Johnny Depp: 'I'm not ready to give up my American citizenship'

7 November 2011 8:21 AM, PST | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

The Rum Diary star on his love of Europe, flying by private jet and why he can't stop smoking

In the weeks leading up to this interview, I began to think there must be some law that makes it illegal not to love Johnny Depp. Everyone melts into a puddle at the mention of his name. Men go even loopier than women – and the higher men rank on the cool-ometer of fame, the more in love with Depp they seem to be. Keith Richards, Brad Pitt, Marilyn Manson, the Gallagher brothers – the dudes all adore Johnny – while this month's GQ anoints him "the world's coolest actor". The director of Withnail & I was only talked out of retirement to make Depp's latest movie "because it was for Johnny", and recently Ricky Gervais was swooning in this paper: "His emails are like poetry. He's made of bohemia."

What can Depp do to inspire all of this? »

Marilyn Manson reportedly performed a karaoke cover of a Justin Timberlake track during the Halloween weekend. The 'Disposable Teens' star attended a Halloween party at The Bank nightclub in the Bellagio, Las Vegas on Saturday. He moved on to a karaoke bar at 4am, following a costume change and "numerous shots of absinthe", according to the New York Post. Manson and his cohorts, including girlfriend Lindsay Usich, then went to the Born and Raised bar, where he "insisted" on singing a cover of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me a River'. A source said: "More shots followed, some shotgunned beers, before Marilyn got on the mike and sang The Doors' 'Texas Radio' and a pretty good version of Timberlake's 'Cry Me a River', which he sang six times." Shia Labeouf: actor, street fighter and director, too. The temperamental star has been making headway into a directing career, and in the past year has delivered the Alejandro Jodorowsky-inspired "Born Villain" with collaborator Marilyn Manson, as well as the video "Marijuana" for Kid Cudi. Well, Labeouf has reteamed with rapper for another, uh, cinematic journey. Appropriately entitled "Maniac," this 10-minute short is more or less a remake of "Man Bites Dog," the notorious French faux-documentary that followed the exploits of a serial killer. The rapper stars alongside Chris Palko (aka Cage) as a murderous duo, in the film that tracks… »

Five Awesomely Creepy Music Videos To Play On Loop At Your Halloween Party

27 October 2011 8:19 AM, PDT | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

By Zachary Swickey

It’s almost that special time of year again, when girls from all around get the opportunity to eroticize a vast array of professions and every pet owner gets a chance to make their dog hate them just a little bit. My top costume predictions are Ryan Gosling’s “Drive” outfit with the badass cream-colored satin jacket, the inappropriate costume of the year will likely be a bloody Muammar Gaddafi, while the Steve Jobs get-up – black turtleneck and some blue jeans – will become the go-to outfit for all nerds (and people wanting a cheap costume) to pay tribute to the fallen visionary.

Everyone loves dressing up and attempting to be as witty as possible with their outfit. Halloween is actually a great backdrop for a music video too with its vivid imagery and slew of monsters to choose from. It’s no wonder these videos went the creepy route with their ideas, »

Evan Rachel Wood: 'I didn't want to fizzle out'

24 October 2011 4:05 PM, PDT | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

Evan Rachel Wood has mostly played troubled teenagers. So she's delighted to be a grownup at last in The Ides of March

When George Clooney rings and asks you to be in his film, you don't say no, says Evan Rachel Wood. Which explains why the actors in The Ides of March fit so perfectly into each role, as if Clooney went about his casting in the way he might tackle a jigsaw. Wood says she wasn't sure where he spotted her, but she thinks it was in Across the Universe, Julie Taymor's musical film based around Beatles songs. "He's kind of an Across the Universe geek," she says.

She spends the next 10 minutes enthusing about her co-stars, mainly Clooney and Ryan Gosling, who plays an adviser to Clooney's Democrat governor with ambitions on the White House – "not only is he really cool, charming, good-looking; on top of that he's super talented. »

Dave Matthews of The Dave Matthews Band is the latest celebrity to get involved in the booze business. The 43-year-old musician has teamed up with winemaker Steve Reeder to form The Dreaming Tree - a range of California Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons and “red crush blend” wines. The pair say that their wines are “approachable” and “high-quality” and Matthews cannot speak more highly of his award-winning business partner. “Steve can’t help but make good wine, because that’s what he loves. That is his gift,” he said. The company is named after the Dave Matthews Band song, The Dreaming Tree, from the 1998 album, Before These Crowded Streets. The range is available throughout the USA and costs about $14.99 per bottle. Other musicians to have branched into the alcohol trade are Acdc (wine), Kiss (wine) Marilyn Manson (absinthe) and Iron Maiden (the Chilean Merlot wine called Evil Brew). © Splash News   »

Times Scare Haunts the Big Apple All Year

19 October 2011 11:24 PM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Halloween is nearly upon us, and it seems like everywhere you turn someone is hosting a haunted house, hayride, steamboat or some other attraction. The weak of heart can always look forward to the fact that the Halloween season is only about a month long and they can return to life as usual on November 1st. Well, New Yorkers, a new tenant has moved in, and they're planning on scaring the pants off you all year long.

The horror studs behind Las Vegas' Fright Dome have now opened Times Scare in New York City. This is a year-round horror attraction featuring a high-tech theater which houses extreme illusionist, the anti-conjurer, Dan Sperry (who needs to be seen to be appreciated...he's been referred to as a living Tim Burton film), an attraction based on Michael Myers and the Halloween series and not one, but two fully stocked bars for the boozehounds among the gorehounds. »

Shia Labeouf Show Signs of a Fresh Bruise Following His Latest Bar Brawl

19 October 2011 11:59 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Shia Labeouf rode his bike in Vancouver yesterday with what seemed to be a fresh bruise on the left side of his face. Shia was involved in a bar fight last week, and new video footage of Shia's fight shows the actor taking a blow to the cheek from an attacker. It's not the first time Shia's been involved in a scuffle. In February, Shia was allegedly thrown out of an La pub for fighting, and, in August, he reportedly had a "meltdown" following an exchange of words with Marilyn Manson at an art opening. Shia's staying out of trouble on set, however, thanks to the watchful eye of director Robert Redford. Robert and Shia are in the midst of filming The Company You Keep, which is due out in 2012. The 'Willy Wonka' Club: Meeting the Cast 40 Years Later

18 October 2011 3:00 PM, PDT | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

While it is considered a classic today, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" was not a hit upon its 1971 release and was even criticized by some people who thought it was mean to children.

But in directing the adaption of the Roald Dahl book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," director Mel Stuart crafted a tale for adults, not kids. That is probably a big reason why it has endured and influenced everyone from "The Simpsons" to Marilyn Manson, on top of the brilliant performance from Gene Wilder as the eccentric yet calculating candy maker. And let's face it, kids love it too. They get it.

The imaginative story about five children who win a tour of Willy Wonka's top secret confectionary plant -- and the chaos they create with subsequent consequences they did not foresee -- is filled with all sorts of great characters, from Wonka to the irrepressibly bratty »
