Some doors can’t be closed, it seems.
During their appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, Netflix went ahead and rolled out the official trailer for Stranger Things season 2, which will be with us on October 27th.
Comprised of nine episodes in total – up one from the original run of eight – series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, along with producer Shawn Levy, have consistently promised a darker, more intense thrill ride for the folks of Hawkins, Indiana, and it all stems from that otherworldly realm known to you, I, and poor old Will Byers as the Upside Down.
Noah Schnapp’s haunted, soft-spoken character is said to be the focal point of Stranger Things‘ sophomore run, and after coughing up a slug at the tail-end of season 1, fans have stipulated that Will Byers will become a walking, talking conduit of the Upside Down. And that can only portend all »

Darkness falls across the land. And get ready, because things are getting weird Af when Stranger Things returns on Oct. 27. "Nothing's gonna go back to the way it was, not really," Hopper says of life in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1984, and no one knows that better than Will (Noah Schnapp), who is still seeing and feeling weird things since returning from the Upside Down at the end of season one. »
The cast and creators of “Stranger Things” arrived in Hall H, the biggest Comic-Con venue of all, on Saturday, and cracked up the assembled crowd for most of the hourlong panel. They also unveiled a new trailer.
Executive producers Shawn Levy, Matt Duffer, and Ross Duffer, as well as cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Dacre Montgomery were all on hand.
The new trailer is scored to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” using the creepy narration of Vincent Price. It starts out with the kids at a video arcade, playing Dragon’s Lair. Will sees a vision of the Upside Down outside the arcade, complete with a red, stormy, supernatural sky. Later, he says, “I saw something. I felt it everywhere.”

Appropriately for the Netflix series’ upcoming Halloween return, the trailer for “Stranger Things” season 2 is rooted on one fundamental principle: Michael Jackson’s music is awesome, and “Thriller” is the perfect song for anything Halloween-related, period. The new trailer dropped Saturday during the show’s big Hall H panel and as expected, the show looks as fully 1980s as the first season, if not more. Like that “Dragon’s Lair’ nod at the beginning, Watch the new “Stranger Things” trailer above. »

NBCUniversal's Oxygen recently rebranded to focus on true crime content, and one of its new shows in that genre is The Jury Speaks, which features perspectives from people who served on the juries of famous court cases. To promote that show, Oxygen is running a clever promotion online: It will bring some of its featured jurors to Reddit, where they will field questions posed by the website's Iama community.
The people Oxygen will bring to Reddit include jurors from the Robert Durst, George Zimmerman, and Michael Jackson cases. Christopher Darden (pictured above), who famously served as a member of the prosecution during O.J. Simpson's murder trial, will show up for a question-and-answer session as well.
Oxygen's use of Reddit as a promotional tool is not surprising given the degree to which the cable hub has embraced digital media companies. Notably, it will be one of the first channels to »

Vance) about Michael Jackson being afraid of lime green. “I think we made it up because we thought it was funny,” Karaszewski told TheWrap. “We needed a shorthand to say even before the Oj trial, Johnnie had his hands full.” Also Read: What 'The People v Oj Simpson' Got Wrong (Photos) Added Alexander: “Larry, »
