On Sunday (May 26), the citizens of E! -- The Kardashians, Ice T and Coco, Chelsea Handler -- get some Oscar-level company with the premiere of "Mrs. Eastwood & Company."
While Clint Eastwood's second wife of 16 years, Dina, is at the center of the new reality offering (along with a couple of teenagers and about 30 family pets), Clint will appear in two episodes.
And any excuse to have a Clint Eastwood movie marathon is a good excuse ...
"A Fistful of Dollars" (1964): During a hiatus from his television Western "Rawhide," Eastwood went to Spain to work with director Sergio Leone on what would be the first Man With No Name saga. The rest, as they say, is history.
"Hang 'Em High" (1968): Proving he also could make an effective screen Western in the American style, Eastwood played a wrongful hanging victim saved, deputized ... and filled with vengeance.
"Where Eagles Dare" (1968): »

I’m sure almost every night in New York and Los Angeles, there is a room that contains handfuls of celebrities, bankers and society ladies clinking glasses and pledging thousands to some cause or another. But, though I have been to a whole lot of those kinds of soirees, I feel like the one I went to last night, a benefit for the Joyful Heart Foundation at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC, is a little bit different from the others. I can’t imagine there are many other events where you would see Ice-t and Coco meet wide-eyed teenagers, Debra Messing loudly promising to kiss a stranger, Samantha Ronson teaching a Christie’s auctioneer how to hold a mic, and Hilary Swank dancing in her seat as Harry Connick Jr. improvised lyrics in praise of Mariska Hargitay. (I mean, it’s no Channing Tatum grinding with Elton John, but still. »

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit has just been renewed for an astonishing fourteenth season, prompting some of you other Svu fans out there to probably ask, “Where can this show Possibly go in a fourteenth season, considering it’s been absurd since like Season 3?” Nonsense! There’s plenty of ridiculous, pseudo-topical plotlines left for this show to tackle / add rapes to! Here are 14 Possible Plots for Svu: Season Fourteen, in order of most ridiculous to also most ridiculous: 14. Prominent college baseball coach Barry Flandusky is accused of molesting children on the campus of Ben State University, but an investigation leads to a disgruntled ex-mascot who framed Flandusky after being expelled for practicing ritual Santeria animal sacrifice in the state-subsidized University dining commons. Both the student and Flandusky are killed in the episode’s final minute by the University’s current mascot, who cites “spiritual self-defense” as their conflict »

Adam Yauch, better known as McA from the Beastie Boys, has succumbed to the cancer he’s been fighting since 2009. He died yesterday, aged 47.
Earlier yesterday the Beastie Boys released this official statement:
“It is with great sadness that we confirm that musician, rapper, activist and director Adam ‘McA’ Yauch, founding member of Beastie Boys and also of the Milarepa Foundation that produced the Tibetan Freedom Concert benefits, and film production and distribution company Oscilloscope Laboratories, passed away in his native New York City this morning after a near-three-year battle with cancer.”
Yauch had salivary gland cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, “Salivary gland cancer is a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the salivary glands.” Sadly, as his voice was his greatest instrument, it kept Yauch from performing in his final days.
Yauch is best known for his ground-breaking music, but he was also a talented filmmaker. »

The main reason we enjoy doing what we do here on Tfs is to share our love for great independent films that may not be on your radar. It’s why we focus our efforts on film festivals and it brings no greater joy to recommend these films once they come out in theaters. While other summer countdowns focus on all the films you’ve been hearing about non-stop for the last year, we’ve got a comprehensive list of the worthwhile independent, limited release features to take note of.
While a few, namely one from Focus Features and another from The Weinstein Company are set to go wide initially, they won’t be as hitting as many multiplexes as The Dark Knight Rises or The Avengers, therefore making for a worthy mention. Check out the list below, which also includes what you may want to skip over blockbuster-wise at the theaters that same weekend, »

When Christopher Meloni, half of one of TV's most beloved will-they-won't-they-couples with Mariska Hargitay, left "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" after 12 seasons, it seemed like anyone who joined the "elite squad" of "dedicated detectives" would pale in comparison.
Eventually Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino were hired as series regulars to investigate "especially heinous sexually-based offenses" for Season 13 and this week, Giddish is the one winning the heart of Hargitay's Olivia Benson. In the May 2 episode of "Law & Order: Svu" (Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Et on NBC), entitled "Father Dearest," Benson and Rollins -- Giddish's character who was transplanted to New York's Svu from Georgia -- go undercover at a sperm bank as a couple looking for a donor.
"We went out to set and Mariska's like, 'Hi. Let's go be lovers for a second,'" Giddish told HuffPost TV with a laugh, recalling the scene, which you can see exclusively here below. »

Rachel Maddow stopped by the "Wendy Williams Show" Wednesday morning for what host Wendy Williams called "smart talk."
Williams said that she was observing Maddow's Twitter feed, and noticed that she followed "all the politicians." Williams said she was surprised, though, to see that Maddow follows Ice-t and Coco. Maddow started laughing and nodded. "'Ice Loves Coco' makes me so happy," Maddow said of the E! reality show featuring rapper and actor Ice-t and his wife, Coco Austin.
Maddow said that she admired Ice-t and Coco because they model "good relationship behavior in a way that doesn't make anybody else feel bad." She added, "They have a long, stable, loving relationship built on affection and mutual respect...They support each other."
Williams agreed, giving the couple one of her signature stamps of approval. "I love their love too," Williams said.
Maddow later argued that family values, when discussed in the political arena, »

Coco Austin has posed in front of many waterfalls in her time, but on "Ice Loves Coco" (Sun., 10:30 p.m. Et on E!) Sunday night she revealed that they were all Photoshopped.
On an anniversary trip to Hawaii with husband Ice-t she wanted to visit one for real this time. "It's my life's mission to touch a waterfall," she said.
As she paddled her way out to the waterfall Ice stood on the bank -- "One of us has to hold the camera," he said -- and filmed her fulfilling her life's mission.
The romance continues on "Ice Loves Coco," Sundays at 10:30 p.m. Et on E!.

The 2012 Republican Primary has been a beautiful thing for comedy writers. For months on end, it’s been providing consistent heaps of diversely fertile material. Heck, horny pizza baron Herman Cain alone could supply a year’s worth of Tonight Show monologues. So it was hardly a surprise when SNL’s cold open went big to commemorate Rick Santorum’s effectively primary-ending concession speech.
Fittingly, the show brought back together the whole gang — Santorum, Cain, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, the indefatigable Newt Gingrich, and presumed winner Mitt Romney – to throw the primary an Irish wake. (Well, Irishish: Santorum ordered a chocolate milk from the bartender, »

When Steven Spielberg shows up to direct Laser Cats 7 — starring a stuffed-animal E.T. playing E.A.T. (Extra Awesome Terrestrial) — you know you’re in for a weird, wacky edition of Saturday Night Live. And while host Josh Brolin was more of a fringe player than the star of the show — even his monologue felt like little more than an excuse for Jay Pharoah (yes, he’s still in the cast!) to break out his wicked Will Smith impression — there were nevertheless an above-average number of laughs in the episode. Ice-t admitted that he hadn't set foot in church in several years, but for Kristy and Derek, he agreed to do it on this week's "Ice Loves Coco" (Sun., 10:30 p.m. Et on E!). He and Coco were honored to be selected as the godparents for all three of Kristy and Derek's children.
"I haven't been in a church a long time," Ice said. "So don't blame me if the church burns down or the roof bursts in flames when I walk in."
When they were advised that their role was to help guide the children on the right path, Ice responded, "And you ask a butt model and gang banger to be their God parents?"
Of course, there's far more to Ice and Coco than their pasts or their professions. They are genuine and decent people at heart, and that's why Kristy and Derek came to them for this honor. »
